FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

We’ve had two beloved long time dog companions put to rest in the last eight months, both procedures through in-home pet euthanasia administered by Dr. Ramos. Grief for our loss leading up to, during, and after the procedures was indescribable. The first time we opted to postpone for several days until such time when our pet can no longer get out of bed to eat and go potty; and Dr. Ramos worked with us through it all. Her compassion shows through her silence, her consoling words are sincere. She’s knowledgeable and worked at our pace, giving us time to say proper goodbyes. We still shed tears as she took our pets away, but had no anxiety whatsoever that we sent them away humanely. I think it helped that it was our pets leaving us from their earthly home rather than us leaving them after they were euthanized at a site that’s strange to them.

The decision to transition our beloved family companion was excruciating. It’s hard to work through the ‘when is it time’ dilemma. Alicia was fantastic, explaining every step of the process. I highly recommend doing this in a home environment. It relieved an element of stress from a difficult situation.

Within the span of 15 days I said goodbye to my kitties, twins, littermates of 17 years. I scheduled with Coda for my little girl. Dr Lauren came out with her assistant. Both were kind, compassionate, patient. They even came earlier as i had inquired and sat in awkward positions while they explained and then proceeded with the next 15 very painful moments. They carried her out in a basket and I watched them drive away. I like that you can book online. I love love the urn and paw print options. Her prints came out so beautifully and when I took her home from West Cosst they were so kind. 15 days later I had to say goodbye to her brother but I used Lap. The ONLY reason was because the Coda vet(s) wore scrubs and I didnt want my boy to be scared. In the end it didnt matter (I ended up giving him gabapentin to make sure he was calm). Although I dont regret anything I would have choosen Coda had I all the information I have now. They were the same price but i got to pick the urn and keep 2 beautiful painted clay paw prints with Coda. In the end its sad and horrible, but I wish you the peace your heart needs.

Dr. Goldberg yesterday helped me to give my sweet cat Penelope a painless and easy transition to her next life. I was devastated and it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. She was so careful and compassionate with my girl and even brought a sweet bed to take her in. Losing a family pet is such a hard experience and Dr. Goldberg with her love and care for animals helped us to let go.

This is a necessary part of being a loving pet owner. Our sweet Bucky, a yellow lab, was a gentle soul with a huge heart and had eyes that gave away everything he was thinking. He got sick and within three weeks had lost most of his muscle mass and his appetite. We knew it was time after one long walk around the yard once more. We did not want to lose him somewhere else than home, where we could say goodbye to each other in a safe place where Bucky and was relaxed and comfortable. Dr Murray was very kind. He explained with compassion what this would look like and followed our lead with timing and letting the whole family say goodbye for as long as we needed to. I think he would have stayed all day if we needed it. This took me a bit to write because we miss Buckwheat terribly. But being responsible pet owners means making very tough decisions but Dr Murray really made a difference in such a sad day. I would absolutely recommend Dr Murray to anyone facing this tough time. Thank you

Dr. Noe was incredibly calm, compassionate, and empathetic throughout a very difficult time. She helped transform the heartbreaking experience of saying goodbye to my 20-year-old cat into a peaceful and dignified transition. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care brought great comfort to both my pet and our family. She is truly doing God's work.
