FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

I was so thankful to find Dr. Dawn. She was so kind and compassionate and my dog Maxx was so comfortable with her. Maxx hated the Vet and it was such a gift to be able to have his final moments at home in his favorite resting spot with me by his side. <3

Dr Bufford was excellent in helping us through this time. Our pet was comfortable in his own surroundings at home and went peacefully. Thank you for this service.

We found at home euthanasia was the right decision for our family - it was much more intimate than we've had in clinical office setting in the past. Dr. Silvesti graciously squeezed us in last minute that day. We were able to hold our fur baby and take our time. Dr. Silvesti took the time to listen to how our sweet baby came into our lives and wrote us the most beautiful hand written sympathy card a few weeks after. Saying goodbye to a pet, a part of your family, is the hardest, most difficult part of being a pet parent. Dr. Lauren Silvesti made this incredibly difficult experience better just by her kindness, patience, and empathetic nature throughout the whole process. We strongly recommend exploring this option when the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved pet.

Never have I experienced in-home euthanasia. All I can tell you is Dr. Pugh was freaking amazing. In a very sad time to say goodbye to a pup, Dr. Pugh helped us through it and she is an amazing person. If you have to go through an experience like that, I can only tell you that Dr. Pugh will get you through it.

We had to make the difficult decision to assist our dog's passing. Dr. Peterson was amazing. She described what would happen through each step and allowed us to move forward at our own pace. It was never going to be an easy day, but Dr. Peterson was amazing helping us through the event.

We had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved pet. What made it even harder was how sudden it all was—an aggressive form of cancer with no warning signs until it was too late. At 11 years old, we were left with no real options, only the responsibility to do what was most humane for her. We chose to have Molly at home, in her favorite spot, surrounded by her favorite toy and the people who loved her most. I truly cannot imagine going through this any other way. Dr. Wolfingbarger brought a level of compassion and calm that helped ease an otherwise unbearable situation. When facing these kinds of decisions, minimizing stress and maximizing comfort—for both the pet and the family—is everything. This experience, while heartbreaking, was handled with such care that it made all the difference.
