We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
I cannot express how much I appreciate the service that Dr Lane provides. For such an awful situation of having to say goodbye to a member of my family was - he brought so much comfort and clarity every step of the way. I didn't have to worry that I was taking One Two to a place that he was fearful of, that he could have everything that smelled like home near by and be comfortable in his own bed. One of the most impactful parts was being able to give my other cats the opportunity to say goodbye as well - something I had never had the opportunity to do before. Every service is so thought out - it makes it so easy to focus on what matters.
Saying goodbye to our beloved dachshund Lily was one of the most painful moments of our lives, but thanks to Dr. Lisa Stadler with CodaPet, it was also one of the most peaceful and compassionate. Dr. Lisa, a retired veterinarian, brought a gentle presence and deep empathy into our home—qualities that made an unbearable day a little more bearable. Her kindness and professionalism helped guide my wife and me through the process with grace and dignity. We are overwhelmingly grateful that Lily was able to pass in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the space and the things she loved most. Holding her in my arms as she went peacefully was a blessing I will never forget. The communication with CodaPet was seamless, and scheduling the appointment was simple—something I deeply appreciated during such an emotionally difficult time. Michelle Albrecht is my neighbor and friend and we shared in the care of our feral cat, "Fluffy". Fluffy was accustomed to us, but was still leary of carriers and traps. When he appeared one evening in terrible stress and pain, we didn't know what we would do to get help for him. I spoke with Dr. Carolyn Anderson who told me about CodaPet. We were very grateful. It was soon obvious that the best we could do for Fluffy was to relieve him of his pain. Dr Perzak came early the following morning and we were very pleased with her care of Fluffy as well as concern for us. She has a huge heart and love for animals and their caregivers and it's very obvious. We will always remember her kindness and her patience in sending Fluffy over the rainbow bridge. Best decision ever. While my heart is broken, this option of a kind, gentle passing in our home, with no anxiety for my sweet girl was a blessing for both of us. Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.
Dr. Magnotta was accommodating with her availability, and was even able to come help us earlier than anticipated as our cat's health exponentially deteriorated overnight. We know Dr. Magnotta helped us make our cat as comfortable as possible as we said goodbye. It was one of the hardest days of my life, but Dr. Magnotta helped give me peace of mind knowing my cat Sadie felt no pain and was cared for with kindness. Dr. Magnotta was so compassionate and caring. She made us feel cared for, and we felt reassured that we were making the right decision. I highly recommend Dr. Magnotta.
Dr. Stukey was so amazingly kind, patient, and caring! She created such a gentle way to say goodbye during a very difficult experience. If you are finding yourself at the tough position of having to say goodbye to a beloved pet, she is the vet to help your loved one cross the bridge. ♥️
Dr. Gordon performed the euthanasia for my sweet soul dog of 16 years. It was the most peaceful experience I could’ve asked for. She knew exactly what to say and created such a calm environment to spend our final moments together. I’m very grateful for her service.
I can't say enough fabulous things about Dr. Jessica Pruitt! It was a hard decision (as it always will be) when its time for our "buddies" to have to leave us:( but Dr. Jessica is so gentle and kind. She explains everything, is very patient and my Molly just warmed right up to her which made things even easier. Dr. Lisa made herself available for a last-minute urgent call for us and she couldn’t have been more lovely and caring. This is obviously a challenging and sad time for anyone in the position to call. She treated it with reverence and kindness. Feel lucky to have had her.
The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
She explained every step and told us what to expect. Communicating with her was easy and she was in contact with us for her arrival time and was personable. We felt comfortable with her and she was kind enough to let me know when my Wolfie’s ashes arrived and she delivered him personally to our home. Thank you for making this difficult time easier.

Dr. White was very kind, compassionate, professional, and accommodating. She contacted me shortly after scheduling to confirm the appointment and offer an earlier visit, which was greatly appreciated. When she arrived, she explained the process and treated us with great respect. The following week, Dr. White reached out again to arrange to have my pet's remains picked up. She was, again, accommodating and prompt with the transfer. Losing a pet is very painful, but allowing your pet to pass in the comfort and safety of their own home was a great relief, and Dr. White's kindness and understanding helped make the passing a little less painful. I could not have asked for a more calm and respectful transition.
Dr. Katie Todd was so unbelievably kind & compassionate. She made an absolutely awful experience as peaceful & supportive as was possible. We are so grateful for her service.
Dr. Sara was so kind and caring. She was patient and understanding. She recognized our need to just “be” with our sweet Jack a little while longer. She showed tons of love for Lil Jack. She gave us a safe space to “ugly cry” as we helped our sweet boy cross the rainbow bridge. Dr. Kim was an absolute angel! She made the passing of our sweet Belle (15 year old blue tick) so much easier. Her compassion and just overall presence during such a hard time was so comforting. I will be recommending the at home service to anyone I know who has an elderly dog.

Dr. Delia is truly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She gave us peace of mind by answering all of our questions and throughly explaining what our baby girl was experiencing. We are so happy that our Mira was surrounded by love and comfort in her final moments.
When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
Dr. Hundley was very compassionate and caring. She brought a calming energy to the situation and was so respectful of our family. I would highly recommend having her assist when a fur baby needs to make their way to the rainbow bridge. Avoid the stress of making a final trip to an office and allow your pet to pass in the comfort of their home.
Dr. Wolfingbarger provided us with such compassionate and respectful care during one of the hardest moments of our lives. When we had to make the decision to euthanize our beloved cat, Nene, Dr. Wolfingbarger treated him—and us—with incredible kindness, patience, and understanding. She took the time to explain everything, never rushed us, and made sure Nene was comfortable and surrounded by love. We are deeply grateful for the empathy and professionalism shown during such a painful experience. I truly can’t imagine having gone through this without such caring support.
Dr. Sara Gardhaouse has an amazing aura about her. In such an Emotinal time she radiates warmth and kindness to help ease the situations hardness. I would gladly refer this company to help with the passing of any fur baby in their own home.

Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. She was very reassuring to my children that we had made the right decision and explained all the options for taking care of the remains and provided us with keepsakes to ease the family’s pain. Dr.Kim was fantastic with us during the very unfortunate passing of our dog. She provided us with some alone time to say our goodbyes and she gave him special treats that he really seemed to like during his injections. She spoke to us about the steps she was going to take beforehand so everyone involved could be prepared during the process. During a very emotional time, she made the day easier for us. This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr. Evymarie Prado Sanchez was at my home within contact and travel time. She provided compassion and care. My dog Snuggles passed very peacefully at home.
There is no good way to lose a loved friend and companion. We are grateful to have found Dr. Ortman when our AB “Zeke” began to rapidly decline in health due to NCL. Dr. Ortman was professional and empathetic while he provided us with the very best care. He was well organized, prepared, and able to guide us through the euthanasia process. He was gentle and kind to Zeke. Dr. Ortman’s care and expertise enabled Zeke to pass gently and peacefully with the love he deserved. Dr. Ortman also helped us move toward healing by enhancing our understanding of Zeke’s condition. That knowledge gave us comfort in knowing that we made the only decision possible to spare Zeke from further suffering. Not every case is without hope. If your pet is suffering, Dr. Ortman also offers a Quality of Life consultation. I would trust him to provide sound recommendations for any of our pets and I believe you can, as well. God Bless
I called about my dog because for some reason her pain had just gotten unbearable all of a sudden so the doctor came to the house. I had my dog already laying down with the blanket and. When the doctor reached in her bag, she pulled out a needle that was large. My dog is Chihuahua mix 14 pounds at the time. The first shot, she screamed in pain yelped the second time I was trying to hold her head as still as I could and I did and she screamed again, but she, the doctor thought that the dog was already sedated and was going to give her the euthanasia shot and I said no she’s not asleep and she said she should she’s asleep and so I pulled out my dog’s leg up and she pulled back The second sedation shot was given and she cried again. I’m only telling you this because I feel like I wanted to do it at home because I wanted her to be more comfortable but after that, I don’t know I mean she was at home in bed with me, but I felt like she was she was going to think that I was hurting her right before she died. I can’t get it out of my mind. The euthanasia shot was given and and Dixie passed I understand these things happen but it just left a it left me feel bad for my dog. The doctor was nice but that doesn’t matter for my dog. It should’ve been smoother anyway the total charge was close to that $1000 but that included her urn And paw print . Bottom line I feel like the shots for sedation should have been done with the smaller needle and the light should’ve been enough to be able to put the needle in easier? I can’t take back her pain. I just hope she understands that I wasn’t trying to hurt her in her last time here thank you for your understanding. This is not meant to be mean this is just how I feel.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. Having your pet pass at home where they're comfortable and familiar was such a blessing!

Very responsive to a same day appointment and even came earlier when notified that Beau had taken a turn for the worse. Once she arrived at the house, she was very calm, which helped us relax. She also was not in a rush to get it done … she waited for us to tell her we were ready—which is a different experience than my parents have encountered with in-home euthanasias—and much appreciated. Her compassion extended past “the appointment”. She made contact with us the following day to see how my daughter was doing. When I was a bit apprehensive about sending Beau’s ashes to our regular vet, she agreed to have him returned to her residence, so that we could pick him up there and ensure positive control. All-in-all, and with respect to the circumstances, it was a very positive experience and the best that you could expect that situation to be—Dr Laura made what was otherwise probably the worst day of my life, just a little bit better. If I’m ever able to take the plunge into fur-parenting again, I would not hesitate to use Dr Laura and Codapets services again when the time came.
We are deeply thankful to Dr. Shannon Nakaya for the care and compassion she showed during our beloved dog Giggsy’s final moments. Saying goodbye was an incredibly painful decision and a very difficult day for us, but her kindness, patience, and gentle approach helped ease the burden. Renee was very communicative and reached out the morning of to let me know that the roads were bad and she would be possibly late as a result. She handled my sweet, loving boy with compassion and dignity. I’m crying even as I type this. What I appreciated as much as her care in his final moments was the card she sent me. She remembered specific things I told her about him. THAT meant a lot. He wasn’t just another pet she was euthanizing. It was my 16 year old chatty kitty who loved playing fetch at 3am and his special blankies. Thank you for caring for the piece of my soul I lost that day. I’ll never forget your kindness in that moment. Unfortunately, it’s not something that comes by often anymore. Love, compassion, kindness. I’m grateful to her for that.
Dr. Amanda Harper was the epitome of professionalism. She was kind and took her time with us and our dog. Smokey was relaxed and felt very loved, at home, with his family. I would never choose to do it differently if we were ever to be in that situation again. This service made a terrible situation as easy as it could ever be. Wanda was 14 years old. She was such a big part of our family, we couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to her at the vet’s office. Everyone was here with her, including Kiko our 6 year old rescue. This turned out to be the best decision that we have ever made! We dreaded trying to take our failing dog to the vet, something that he and we don't really enjoy anyway, even when he isn't sick. Instead, Dr. Duvall was able to come to us, and evaluate our Border Collie/Australian Sheep dog mix, Myles, right here in our own home. Dr. Megan Duvall is an exceptionally fine Veterinarian, and she did a beautiful job evaluating and treating Myles. Her experienced and loving touch were marvelous. We were so glad that Myles was able to quietly and painlessly pass away in his own bed, surrounded by the whole family who loved him so much. It was so much better than going to the vet, and any additional cost was well worth it. Also, the information and guidance materials were excellent and really helped with our understanding of the whole process. The follow-up has been excellent too, with many helpful links. We would highly recommend using this service, especially if you are fortunate enough to be able to book Dr. Megan Duvall. If, as they say, a safe, easy passing is the final act of love that you can do for your pet, then this seems to us to be the very best way to do it.
Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. Dr Delia came to our house shortly after I reached out. She was kind and compassionate and made Mia’s transition calm, pain free and peaceful. Dr. Christina came with such a passionate and sympathetic heart her love for animals and for animal parents is unmatched. He handled our beloved Ranger with the utmost respect and gentleness, truly honoring him as the cherished member of our family that he was. Dr. Doolittle stayed in contact with us throughout the process, including updates on the return of Ranger ashes along with a beautiful nose print and paw print that we will treasure forever. Allowing Ranger to spend his final day at home, surrounded by love and comfort, meant everything to us. Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
Danelle met our needs very gently and in a comforting manner. She was accommodating when I needed to reschedule appointments because I wasn’t sure when was the right time for my dog to pass. She came to our house on time and full of compassion and understanding. She answered my many questions. I appreciated her evaluating my dog to be sure that this was the time he needed to pass. I would highly recommend Danielle to anyone in the Yuma Arizona area. Losing a dog is so very hard. I have known Dr.Thomas for a long time, and I was so relieved to know she would be there during such a difficult moment. Having her with us for my cat's in-home euthanasia brought me so much comfort. She clearly explained the entire process beforehand and was deeply present and calm throughout. She brought special treats for my kitty, that she enjoyed during her last moments, and also gave treats to my dog who was present as well. It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
Dr. Katie Todd was so kind and informative. She explained the process and answered all of our questions. Our sweet girl is at peace and out of pain and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for her.
They were very compassionate. Just sitting on the floor guiding us during the process. They helped us deal with the fact that we did make the right decision. So warm and comforting. I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. Dr. Feig is the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful doctor anyone could ask for. Anyone who has Dr. Feig in their life as wife, mother, daughter, friend--is an extremely lucky person. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. And Dr. Lisa Feig more than meets that requirement. A million thanks to her and Coda Pet.
I've never been more impressed with a vet. I tried everything under the sun to get my dog better and I carried such massive guilt over the decision. I didn't know what to expect, as I had never put a pet to sleep before. I didn't know how I'd handle it and was struggling all week at work to avoid crying - I didn't even tell my coworkers so that I wouldn't break down into tears. Dr. Martin immediately made me feel at ease when he arrived. He has such a warm and caring demeanor. He listened so thoughtfully when I talked about my dog and her journey, then helped me to feel reassured in my decision. The night before the appointment, he spent 30+ minutes on the phone with me because I was still questioning whether there might be something else I can do. He listened while I ran through her history from the last two years. When he brought the ashes, he even included such a nice condolence card. I'm just blown away at how smooth of a process this was and how kind Dr. Martin is. If I know of anyone going through this, I will highly recommend Codapet and Dr. Martin. I wish that he/Codapet offered home visits for regular vet exams and routine vaccines. I would definitely pay for that service for my other dogs. Thank you so much, Dr. Martin! The service that Dr. Hundley provides is such a remarkable one. It allowed us to say goodbye to our family member in the peace of our own home so everyone could be there. She was so thoughtful and professional, she even brought our boy a cheeseburger. She took care of all the arrangements you don’t want to have to do, making the process so much easier on us. Dr. Mitchell was wonderful. She was very caring with our pet and our family durning a difficult time. I would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.
We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.
