Dr Bean maintains a true heartfelt service to help pet owners through a difficult time. He helped us provide the most respect possible to our 16 year old dog that my children grew up with. The in-home visit was better then expected. His communications let us know what to expect, which helped us navigate saying goodbye.
Dr. Clem was incredibly kind and compassionate during one of the hardest moments for our family. Saying goodbye to Berkeley after more than 15 years was heartbreaking, and we are so grateful for the way Dr. Clem cared for both her and us. She was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. She followed our lead the entire time, giving us the space we needed while gently explaining each step in such a soft and reassuring way. Her calm presence and kindness made an impossibly difficult experience feel peaceful. Dr. Mary Juber was one of the most compassionate and understanding vets I've ever met, she took her time and only did everything when Harley and me were ready . I wouldn't change anything about the way the process was handled .
Dr. Jamie went above and beyond when it came time to say goodbye to our Bella. These times in our lives are not always convenient or well timed. Dr. Jamie came out on a holiday weekend when other families were gathering and celebrating to help us say goodbye. Her professionalism and quiet empathy was deeply appreciated. Dr. Carol Earls was incredibly kindhearted, gentle, and compassionate during one of the hardest days our family has experienced. She made an incredibly painful and emotional experience as peaceful and bearable as it possibly could have been, both for our sweet Phryne and for us. From the moment she arrived, Dr. Earls was patient, soft-spoken, and incredibly respectful. We never once felt rushed. She gave us the time and space we needed to love on Phryne, say our goodbyes, and process what was happening while gently guiding us through each step. Everything was handled with such care and dignity, and it was very clear that she understood just how deeply loved Phryne was. While I would never wish the need for this service on anyone, I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Earls to any family facing this incredibly difficult decision. Having someone so calm, compassionate, and patient there made more of a difference than I can put into words. She helped Phryne pass peacefully, surrounded by her family in the place she knew and loved, and gave us the comfort of knowing her final moments were treated with nothing but tenderness and respect. I truly could not have asked for a better person to help guide our sweet Phryne across the rainbow bridge. We will always be grateful to Dr. Earls for the kindness she showed Phryne and our entire family that day.
Dr. Brandon Meadows and his medical assistant (Abby, I believe), were absolutely wonderful! Our family is so thankful that they were able to make our mini goldendoodle, Reggie, feel comfortable on his last day with us. We were blessed to have had Reggie in our lives for 13 years, and are grateful for CodaPet’s in-home services. Even though it was extremely difficult to let Reggie go, he appeared very content and peaceful during the procedure, and we were so glad he could remain in the comfort of his home as we said goodbye to him. ❤️🙏🏻

I don’t think I could ever really express how amazing Dr. Karen really is. There wasn’t a better person out there for us. She was gentle, kind, patient, and so supportive to us and our precious girl Abbey. She made everything about a heart breaking loss a lot easier. I'm not good with words, but I just want to say Dr. Jen is very compassionate and on our worst day she made us feel at ease...Making the call to let my Pudge go was very hard for me, but I know it was the right decision and for it to happen in his home were he was relaxed and comfortable made it easier.
Dr. Orth showed us the most compassion and grace in our more difficult situation. She was patient, waiting on our queues and attentive to our little guys needs. We appreciate how she handled our appointment.
Saying goodbye to our sweet boy Milo was a process that took many weeks of observation, questions and constant thought. Having Dr. John Murray guide us through every step of this process was a blessing. He walked our family through the whole process with not only a knowledgable approach, but a gentle and compassionate one. Most remarkable was his genuine interest in knowing all about Milo, giving us our time to peacefully say goodbye and respecting Milo and our family throughout the process. It was the most peaceful and loving goodbye we could have imagined and we will forever be grateful.
Dr Amy is an angel. She helped our sweet Major on his final journey. She was kind, patient and loving with us, and made the worst day ever into something beautiful as we said our goodbyes to the goodest boy ever. She explained the after care process, and brought him home to us in a beautiful urn and his paw and nose prints. The was a lot of apprehension before Dr. Torres arrived but when she did, she brought such a calm, kind presence that put us all at ease. Sitting with us explaining the procedure, getting to know our dog, convinced me that this was the right decision. She was so thoughtful and gentle, giving us time to say good bye. Nothing was rushed. Lori was compassionate and professional. She communicated clearly before the date and time, and conducted Rico’s euthanasia just as I wanted in my backyard. She was gentle and kind with Rico, my curious and somewhat confused cats, and us, and sensitive to the pace at which we were comfortable for the entire process. Rico had a loving, peaceful death.

She was wonderful. She helped us walk through a very difficult process with compassion and professionalism. She asked us about our pets story and even sent a note after. I would recommend her highly.
Dr. Karen was so nice and comforting. I was crying most of the appointment and she was very sweet and comforting. She gave me time to say goodbye and be with my dog once she passed and gave me a hug once she was in the car.
We had to put our 17 yo chihuahua Joey to sleep this week. It was heartbreaking trying to decide if we were doing the right thing. Dr Christine was a Godsend. He was so kind and professional. He answered all our questions. He never rushed me and I am so thankful I got to hold my little baby for a little whilelonger. My dog hated going to the vet. This was our first experience with having to put down our pet. I was scared, I was anxious, and I was nervous. Dr. Rona was so sweet and professional. When I knew it was time for my 16 year old Cleo, her and her nurse Morgan were so wonderful in letting me know what the process was, what to expect and were so supportive and compassionate. I can’t really say enough good things about Dr. Wratten. As horrible and emotional as the choice and experience is to determine end of life care for your beloved pet she made the process smooth and compassionate; I felt like she really cared about my pet and listened to my ramblings and expressed genuine interest in seeing photos of Her Majesty during the “better days”. She was available by phone for questions I had before the appointment and really acted with my cat’s best interest at heart. She was so sweet and the process was a lot more personal to me than with another company I used in the past. I don’t want to use her services again, but I would certainly do so based on this interaction. I wish she had been my cat’s primary vet, she really understands how corporations over-bill and do unnecessary tests and I think she would have been a better pet advocate for my pet when she needed care in the past. Like I said above, I can’t say enough good things about the experience and how I felt like I was also being cared for in a really emotional and personal time. Dr Tolbert created the space for me to focus on the good-bye, not the details of tasks to complete. She asked if I had questions, answered my questions, and then let me set the pace. I needed that. Her kindness, compassion, and empathy made the entire process sting much less.
Dr. Monroe was very kind and gentle with my elderly cat, Eli. She was very professional, explained everything thoroughly, but was also extremely compassionate. The process went very smoothly and I could not have had a better experience at such a difficult and painful time.
Simply put: she’s the vet you’d want. We received everything we needed and more from Dr. Dykstra. The emergency occurred when our elderly father was alone when his beloved cat suddenly showed signs of failing, pain/end stage of life. This was highly stressful for our family because it’s the first time a family member could not help in the time needed. “Dr. Jen”immediately responded, was calming, compassionate, thorough, and helped beyond measure. She was patient with dad and helped him as his cat passed without more pain and suffering. She also followed up with us, too. Highly recommend.
Dr. Bean is a truly compassionate person. He has the ability to make you feel that you have an opportunity to make informed decisions about your pets. Dr Ayala was fantastic. Very calming and understanding of the rough situation. She was very punctual, assessed and agreed it was time to say goodbye. Worked around family members to get around to do what needed done, she allowed ample time to say goodbye before administering the euthanasia
We are forever grateful for the peaceful passing provided by Dr. Melissa Magnotta for our 15-year old dog Henry at home. Dr. Magnotta's kind compassion and dedicated expertise allowed us to comfort him with love and pats in his final moments. She is a remarkable veterinarian and a genuinely empathetic person who balances providing humane pet care with the heartache of pet owners at the most difficult time.
Dr. Delia was wonderful. I can’t thank her enough for the ease and compassion she gave me during the most difficult time, letting go of my beloved Dexter. She thoroughly explained the process to my family and I and made sure that if we had any questions that they were answered. She allowed my family and I to have the privacy we needed with Dexter in his final moments and assured us that he wouldn’t feel any pain. I would highly recommend her and Coda Pet as an option to have your pet go in their familiar peaceful environment. If anyone in the Kansas City area requires in-home pet euthanasia… I absolutely cannot recommend this doctor enough. Khaleesi immediately warmed up to her, which is understandable because her vibe is so calming. She was very gentle with us and with Khaleesi. She explained everything she was doing and what to expect. She also let us know that we were absolutely doing the right thing and as a pet parent that is struggling with that decision, it was very validating and helped to reduce any guilt that we had. She helped to make a very stressful painful day easier on everybody involved. My baby girl passed gently in my lap in her home with her mom, dad and little brother there.

This was our first experience with at-home services and I cannot recommend Dr. Magnotta enough. She is extremely empathetic, clearly cares about every one of her clients and their families, and made the entire experience as easy as it could have possibly been. Our girl never felt any pain and got to enjoy one last snuggle with us without any anxiety or fear being in a strange room at a vet office. Letting your furry family member go is one of the most difficult parts of life, but having the option to let ours go peacefully in our home while eating her favorite treats was a real blessing. Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. Dr. Katie Todd arrived and explained in detail the process, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, and made the process as easy as possible. She was very reassuring to my children that we had made the right decision and explained all the options for taking care of the remains and provided us with keepsakes to ease the family’s pain. It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.
Dr. Lisa made herself available for a last-minute urgent call for us and she couldn’t have been more lovely and caring. This is obviously a challenging and sad time for anyone in the position to call. She treated it with reverence and kindness. Feel lucky to have had her.
I can't say enough fabulous things about Dr. Jessica Pruitt! It was a hard decision (as it always will be) when its time for our "buddies" to have to leave us:( but Dr. Jessica is so gentle and kind. She explains everything, is very patient and my Molly just warmed right up to her which made things even easier. When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr Anna was on time, very loving, caring and made us all feel at ease with going forward. She even brought a treat for him, and my very usually picky dog ate it! The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
We are deeply thankful to Dr. Shannon Nakaya for the care and compassion she showed during our beloved dog Giggsy’s final moments. Saying goodbye was an incredibly painful decision and a very difficult day for us, but her kindness, patience, and gentle approach helped ease the burden. Dr. Nakaya guided us through the process with understanding and treated Giggsy with such tenderness and respect. We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.
Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. Best decision ever. While my heart is broken, this option of a kind, gentle passing in our home, with no anxiety for my sweet girl was a blessing for both of us. Dr. Gibson was so sweet and compassionate. It is obvious she was born to do exactly this. Her respect for my baby was so comforting. I won't ever go a different route again.
Dr. Stukey was so amazingly kind, patient, and caring! She created such a gentle way to say goodbye during a very difficult experience. If you are finding yourself at the tough position of having to say goodbye to a beloved pet, she is the vet to help your loved one cross the bridge. ♥️
Dr. Mitchell was wonderful. She was very caring with our pet and our family durning a difficult time. I would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.
Dr. Kim was an absolute angel! She made the passing of our sweet Belle (15 year old blue tick) so much easier. Her compassion and just overall presence during such a hard time was so comforting. I will be recommending the at home service to anyone I know who has an elderly dog.
We decided to use CodaPet when it was time for us to make that decision for our sweet 14 year old St Bernard, Fiona. It was the best thing we could have done. Dr Jason Doolittle made sure the experience was peaceful and went at a pace we were comfortable with. He explained in detail everything that would happen and was very gentle with Fiona. We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
In my life I have been blessed to have a few dogs. Saying goodbye is part of the price we pay. Dr. Gordon made this horrible time easier. I will be eternally grateful for the kindness and compassion she showed not only our precious Baby Girl but also us.
