Growing up on a small farm in Wisconsin, Bonnie's affinity for animals blossomed amidst the hay bales and barnyard chaos. Despite the occasional peck from fowl and weekends spent mucking out horse stalls while friends hit the mall, her love for animals endured. After pursuing English Literature at Boston University, Bonnie's passion for veterinary medicine led her back to her roots. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota, setting the stage for a fulfilling career dedicated to the well-being of pets and their families. For the past 15 years, South Seattle has been Bonnie's home, where she has seamlessly integrated into the community as a trusted veterinarian. Joining the WAHO team has allowed her to fulfill her lifelong dream of serving both pets and their loving humans. Whether it's providing routine care or offering support during challenging times, Bonnie's commitment to her patients and their families shines through in every interaction. Beyond her veterinary practice, Bonnie finds joy in her bustling household, which includes three teenage sons, a loyal pitbull named Odie, a mischievous ferret named Bear, and other unique companions. With a penchant for "mom jokes," baking experiments, and thrift store treasures, Bonnie embraces life with humor and curiosity. In her role with Washington Health Outreach, she extends her compassion to pets in need, ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve. As a veterinarian, Bonnie's most profound fulfillment comes from guiding families through the delicate process of saying goodbye to their cherished pets, offering unwavering support and understanding every step of the way.
