I wanted to take a moment to thank a very special doctor, Dr. Karen Duncan of CodaPet, along with the incredible team at Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service. Laying Thor to rest has been one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. Dr. Karen Duncan is an amazing soul who truly found her calling. She arrived, took the time to get to know Thor, and after giving us the time we needed, gently and confidently reassured us that letting him go with dignity was the most selfless thing we could do. She made us feel like we had known her for years. She explained everything, supported us through every step, and gave us the time and space to process such a heartbreaking moment. The compassion and care did not stop there. The follow-up and support from Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service was beyond anything we could have imagined. The kindness, humanity, and understanding shown to our family is something so many businesses have lost over time. Thank you all for the compassion, dignity, humility, and care you showed us during one of the hardest moments of our lives. These are gifts and skills that simply cannot be taught.
While Dr. Fama only met Bootsy the one time, our at home pet euthanasia experience was comfortable because of her. She really took the time to say hello to Bootsy and try to get a sense of him as a cat in life before proceeding to the business of his death. Having her come to our home was peaceful and comforting, despite the circumstances. He was ready to go, and it was a great comfort that we could all be there for him.
Dr. Thomason was so supportive and helpful during such an incredibly hard time. I can't say enough about what an amazing vet she is. RIP Lovely Lolita
When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
Dr. Stukey did a great job. She was very nice and compassionate and gave us all of the time that we needed with Maya. It's such a hard thing to go through and she made it as bearable as possible.
Dr. Kim was an absolute angel! She made the passing of our sweet Belle (15 year old blue tick) so much easier. Her compassion and just overall presence during such a hard time was so comforting. I will be recommending the at home service to anyone I know who has an elderly dog.
Dr. Duvall did a fantastic job easing our dog out of this world, and in tending to our human needs and concerns as well. She really went the extra mile and was full of compassion for all of us. I can't imagine how the inherently difficult situation could have been made any easier.
Dr. Meadows is a very compassionate person. I have had to have him euthanize two of my dogs within 8 months of each other. My second dog was a very nervous dog around people other than family. He came the day before to give me a sedative so that she would not be as fearful when he came the next day. I euthanize at home so that it won't be a stressful experience for my babies. Thanks to Dr. Meadows , he made a very difficut time as peaceful as possible. Dr. Meadows is fantastic.
Dr Nicole Ramos communicated with me multiple times before arriving and she was very professional and gentle towards our family when she arrived. Our Marley had a litter mate, Cheyenne that we were also concerned about and she answered all our questions. It was so peaceful and calm being at home. She made the experience above and beyond. I have put down at least 4 dogs but never in this environment, all of us agreed how positive the experience was during a painful time.
Dr. Norman was wonderful in helping our pet pass away peacefully at home. She was professional, compassionate and genuinely kind. We would highly recommend Dr. Norman and CodaPet for those looking for in home euthanasia services.
Dr. Sara Gardhaouse has an amazing aura about her. In such an Emotinal time she radiates warmth and kindness to help ease the situations hardness. I would gladly refer this company to help with the passing of any fur baby in their own home.
Dr. Lisa was so wonderful. She was patient with both of my cats. It was so nice to be able to stay at home and not jam my cat into a carrier and haul her into a vet’s office. It also allowed my other cat to see what was going on. I would recommend Dr. Lisa to anyone who has to face the end of a pet’s life.
It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
We are deeply thankful to Dr. Shannon Nakaya for the care and compassion she showed during our beloved dog Giggsy’s final moments. Saying goodbye was an incredibly painful decision and a very difficult day for us, but her kindness, patience, and gentle approach helped ease the burden. Dr. Nakaya guided us through the process with understanding and treated Giggsy with such tenderness and respect. Her compassion and professionalism truly made all the difference during this heartbreaking time.
The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
Dr. Whitman was very kind and compassionate!! I know I made the right choice by choosing CodaPet!! My baby was in excellent hands the entire time. I hope that everyone going through a difficult time such a this is blessed with gentle, caring people like Dr. Whitman! Nothing but good things to say here! I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Lisa Feig. It was heart wrenching knowing I had to say goodbye to my precious Dottie before she began to suffer. We loved her so much. With that said, Dr. Lisa Feig made the experience so much easier and peaceful for our sweet girl. I knew Dottie was not in pain and crossed over in the most peaceful way. Dr. Feig is the most compassionate, caring, thoughtful doctor anyone could ask for. Anyone who has Dr. Feig in their life as wife, mother, daughter, friend--is an extremely lucky person. She was so giving of her time and patience. I recommend at home euthanasia to everyone. Having your loved one home, comfortable in their surroundings is really the best option. I hated the idea of her being at a hospital or vet clinic in a sterile environment. I got to hold her and tell her how pretty she was and how loved she was. And all the while, Dr. Feig demonstrated such genuine compassion. My fiancé and I were blown away. It takes a special person to do this type of job. And Dr. Lisa Feig more than meets that requirement. A million thanks to her and Coda Pet.
Dr. Lisa made herself available for a last-minute urgent call for us and she couldn’t have been more lovely and caring. This is obviously a challenging and sad time for anyone in the position to call. She treated it with reverence and kindness. Feel lucky to have had her.
This doctor immediately came to action for this sudden & difficult but necessary decision, showing such a professional and empathetic attitude throughout the whole process, she made sure Baby was comfortable for her final moments and gave us the best quality assurance and putting to sleep process. I'm forever grateful and glad she came to us and ensured our pet was laid to rest.
Dr Melissa Goldberg really made our experience the absolute best it could be. She is so very kind and understanding , also accommodating. I scheduled an appointment and realized our 15yr old dog Buck was needing help sooner than later. Dr Goldberg had already texted me not long after booking , so I had her number. I asked her advice on waiting until the next evening, which is when we scheduled for . She made arrangements to come to our home that night instead. So kind. She explains the whole process, no surprises It is absolutely the most love you can show your animal. Our guy laid on his favorite spot on the couch, our whole family was home in the room with the him. He was completely comfortable with Dr Goldberg immediately, as were we. It is not an awkward experience. She understands the assignment and acts with care and compassion and allows the family to do what they need to do without intrusion. He fell asleep in the most peaceful way I think I ever saw, it was oddly beautiful. It was so the right time I realized. I can say without hesitation it was perhaps the best decision I’ve ever made if you can appreciate that. The gravity of making this decision is almost unbearable. But having him home , in his spot , with his family- just drifting off ? Literally priceless. I’ve never been more comfortable with a purchase. And I thank her and the service from the bottom of my heart.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Sarah Clem for helping our beloved Chloe Bear pass peacefully at home. Dr. Clem was compassionate, gentle, and respectful through one of the hardest moments for our family. She gave Chloe comfort, dignity, and love in her final moments, and helped us feel supported every step of the way. Dr. Amanda Harper was the epitome of professionalism. She was kind and took her time with us and our dog. Smokey was relaxed and felt very loved, at home, with his family. I would never choose to do it differently if we were ever to be in that situation again. This service made a terrible situation as easy as it could ever be. Highly recommend to all my pet-loving friends.
Dr. Noe was sweet, loving and gentle to my precious fur baby. She talked to my CocoLee (aka Beanie Baby) as if she was her own not just another buck. In my heart I know my Beanie Baby was not scared or under any stress during the process. Thank you Dr. Noe and Bill for being gentle and professional.
Dr. Rob was incredibly kind— he came for an urgent appointment because my cat went downhill quickly over the weekend. He was patient, explained the process, gave our family time with her, and made the process as stress free as it could for my cat, which was my first priority. I had never considered in home euthanasia and now I feel I’ll always do it if possible because it minimized the fear in her last hours. She had the peaceful passing that she deserved, surrounded by her loved ones. Thank you Dr. Rob for taking care of my girl on her last day.
Dr. Delia is truly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She gave us peace of mind by answering all of our questions and throughly explaining what our baby girl was experiencing. We are so happy that our Mira was surrounded by love and comfort in her final moments.
We cannot say enough about the compassion and care we received from Dr. Phillips during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. From the time she entered our home, she was truly heaven-sent. She thoroughly explained every step of the process, which brought us so much comfort and peace. She was incredibly gentle with our sweet boy, Skipper, who was always so anxious, and treated him with the utmost care and respect. She gave my husband and me all the time we needed to say our goodbyes in the comfort of our home, never rushing us for a moment. From beginning to end, her presence was calm, kind, and truly angelic. We will never be able to fully express how grateful we are for such an intimate and peaceful experience. It meant everything to us.
Dr. Houck was very kind and professional. She made a horrible day as peaceful and special as it could possibly be. She gave us time with our dog and showed compassion for all of us. I'm so glad our girl had a peaceful goodbye in her home instead of an office.
Dr Lisa was amazing. This was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do, but she made saying goodbye to our girl so much easier and with no stress to Abby.
We had to say goodbye to our pup Leo, who we had for 16 years, and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to do. Leo had advanced kidney disease and his health quickly deteriorated. We had scheduled a Coda Appointment with Dr. Derecka Alexander for a Tuesday, but Leo’s health took a turn for the worse on a Sunday. I emailed Coda Pet to ask if there was any possibility any Vet could come out sooner. Dr. Alexander immediately contacted me and made herself available in our time of need. We were so appreciative of Dr. Alexander’s compassion and kindness in helping our beloved pup Leo cross over the rainbow bridge, especially after it became urgent. She made a very difficult experience of us having to say goodbye to our pup more manageable. We chose to get a Vet to come to our home for our final goodbye to our Leo because we wanted him to be surrounded by the warmth of our love, the comfort of his family, and the smells and sounds he has always known. I wanted his last memories to be of us — his family — holding him, kissing him, thanking him. Thank you, Dr. Alexander, for allowing us to provide that to our pup Leo.
Dr. Lori Thomas gave Cassie a peaceful and dignified passing at home, surrounded by the people, music, flowers, and familiar comforts she loved. Her calm presence and compassionate care helped guide not only Cassie, but our entire family, through one of the hardest moments we’ve faced. We were able to let Cassie rest in her own backyard, with her pack nearby, and say goodbye in a way filled with love, respect, and peace. We will always be grateful for the kindness and grace Dr. Thomas brought to Cassie’s final journey.
Making the decision to euthanize our beloved cat Minnie was a difficult but it was made bearable due to Dr. Laura. She walked us through the process with patience and kindness which allayed our fears. My husband and I knew that Minnie was in good hands with Dr. Laura and we are truly grateful. We have already recommended Coda pet and Dr. Laura.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. Having your pet pass at home where they're comfortable and familiar was such a blessing!

This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr Anna was on time, very loving, caring and made us all feel at ease with going forward. She even brought a treat for him, and my very usually picky dog ate it! This process was as easy as it could have been, all things considered. Dr. Lauren was so kind and sympathetic to our situation, and explained everything clearly so we knew what was happening next. I can't imagine having to do this with families every day, but what you all do is truly a blessing. Oliver was our first pet we had to say goodbye to, but being able to do so at home was a great relief for all of us. Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. Dr. Katie Todd arrived and explained in detail the process, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, and made the process as easy as possible. She was very reassuring to my children that we had made the right decision and explained all the options for taking care of the remains and provided us with keepsakes to ease the family’s pain. Dr. Novik was the perfect choice for this..."event"? I had to schedule my appointment at 2:00am and chose her because she had appointments available in the afternoon the same day and offered the service of taking my cat's remains away and offering cremation services the same day. I was so nervous about everything but especially the parking out front of my apartment building but she was so kind and so understanding. She explained everything as she did it, nothing was scary, and offered us time after my cat had died to say goodbye. I think she wouldn't have been surprised if we'd. grieved much longer. I would highly recommend Dr. Novik and was glad that she was the one that happened to selected when I to say goodbye to one of the best friends I've ever had.

Dr. Whala was so wonderful. She really cared about us and our kitty, Atticus. She took her time and walked us through the process. There were lots of tears but I was special because we were at home and comfortable surroundings for our friend. Thanks again !
Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.

As difficult as losing a beloved pet is, I am so grateful to Dr Anna Stewart for her professionalism, compassion, and the kindness she showed to our family during her visit. Having had several fur family members pass over the rainbow bridge, this experience was by far the most peaceful transition we have experienced. My Hudson was happy, calm , and comfortable and was able to relax in his own bed and drift off to sleep. Dr Anna was so patient and kind to our family during this emotional procedure. Dr. Delia Gregory-Macdonald is an angel on Earth. The time came to put down our 13 year old family dog. I wanted this to be done in the familiar comfort of our home. Dr Delia came to our house shortly after I reached out. She was kind and compassionate and made Mia’s transition calm, pain free and peaceful. This was the first time we ever tried an in home service and we were so anxious. We wanted our girl to feel safe and comfortable in her home, surrounded by her family. We did not know what to expect, and Dr. Sarah Clem exceeded any expectations we could have had. Dr Sarah was kind and took time to get to know us and listened while we shared stories about our girl, Emma. She was patient with us and gave us time to say goodbye at our own speed. She never rushed us. She explained the process and welcomed any questions we had. She provided comfort to us and she gave that same comfort and care to Emma. We will always be appreciative of Dr. Sarah and the love and care she gave our sweet girl.
Dr. Andrea Dover was an angel during one of our hardest times. She was genuinely so compassionate, empathetic and sensitive to all our needs and I can’t thank her enough for the amazing and difficult job she did. She was so good at explaining the process and taking the time to make sure we were ready for each step along the way. Our sweet lab Cooper was in the best hands with Dr. Dover as he slipped into a calm sleep and then across the rainbow bridge with us holding him the entire time. If you are in the unfortunate circumstance that you require end of life care for your beloved fur baby, I cannot recommend CodaPet and Dr. Dover enough! Dr. Oudin recently came to our home to help us say goodbye to our sweet 16 year old kitty. She was very kind and compassionate and helped to make the situation bearable. We are very grateful.
Best decision ever. While my heart is broken, this option of a kind, gentle passing in our home, with no anxiety for my sweet girl was a blessing for both of us. She gave careful attention to who we were and what would matter to us. She could not possibly have done a better job in any way whatsoever. Our dog Sarah was taken great care of from start to finish. I will tell anybody I talk to about my loss how great she was to all of us. Me, my husband and my other dog Nikki were all close to Sarah to help comfort her. And Sarah was taken care of right where she was in her comfort zone with her favorite view.
Dr Karen is so very compassionate. She really listens and so caring. Dr. Karen has been to my home than a few times for my very loved fur babies. When it’s time I wouldn’t call anyone else. Not only is it more comfortable and less stress for my fur baby, it’s also so much more peaceful on me as well. It’s so very hard to make this decision and is heartbreaking. We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. Dr. White was so kind and compassionate, explaining the process as it progressed, allowing us to make the decisions we could. She truly understood the bond we had with our boy. Wanda was 14 years old. She was such a big part of our family, we couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to her at the vet’s office. Everyone was here with her, including Kiko our 6 year old rescue. Dr. Collins was truly wonderful. She walked us through the entire process with such compassion, explaining what would happen and gently preparing us for each step. She gave us all the time we needed with our sweet girl and helped us create beautiful keepsakes with her paw prints and nose print. We suddenly found ourselves in an unbearable situation with our 17-year-old dog, Teddy. His health declined so quickly, and we had to rush to find someone who could help us say goodbye at home. Thankfully, we were able to book an appointment with Dr. Lisa. She came to our house with such humility, patience, and compassion. She listened as we cried and asked a million questions, gently reassuring us that we were doing the right thing for our sweet boy. She never rushed us, she gave us the space and time we needed to say goodbye. As heartbreaking as it was, Teddy passed peacefully and comfortably in our arms. Dr. Lisa treated him with love, dignity, and respect, and made sure he was safely transported for cremation. She even followed up with us afterward to reassure us he had arrived where he needed to go. Losing Teddy has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through, but we have no regrets choosing Dr. Lisa. She gave our boy the most loving, gentle passing we could have hoped for.
I can't say enough fabulous things about Dr. Jessica Pruitt! It was a hard decision (as it always will be) when its time for our "buddies" to have to leave us:( but Dr. Jessica is so gentle and kind. She explains everything, is very patient and my Molly just warmed right up to her which made things even easier. Dr. Bean and Brooke were so compassionate, caring and understanding during what was such an awfully hard experience for myself and my husband. Though it was hard for us, they really did give our baby the best and most peaceful goodbye that we could have asked for. I'm so grateful to them for making things as comfortable as possible for my old girl, myself and my husband.
Dr Mills was incredible. Compassionate, caring, patient, loving.... all the things you'd hope for in the situation. We've had other in-home euthanasia experiences, but this was the absolute best. We felt supported throughout, the communication was amazing. She explained the process and what she was doing when and why. I hope not to have to use her services again, but if we do, I'll be using Dr Mills. 15/5 would recommend
Dr Lane was truly amazing. He helped us though one of the toughest things imaginable. I would highly recommend him and this whole process over going in to a clinic or worse yet, letting your loved pet suffer. From beginning to end it was peaceful and gentle. Our "Charlie" went without the slightest discomfort. Thank you.

It’s been about two weeks now since we helped my guy Benny over the Rainbow Bridge. At 15 years and numerous health / mobility challenges, it was his time. When it was “their time”, we always took our furry children to the vet’s office for the “final visit”. Each office did their best to make it as easy as possible for all concerned, but it still felt a little “cold”, clinical and a little frighting. I was fortunate to have found CodaPet.com at the urging of our own vet’s office. We made the decision to help Benny at around 3:30pm on a Saturday. We received immediate response after scheduling online and Dr. Cassandra Lewis arrived at our house promptly at 7pm. After assessing Benny, she provided him with carefully administered sedatives to ease his suffering while surrounded by his family in the comfort of his favorite room on his favorite bedding. For the next 40 minutes or so, Dr. Lewis listen to us tell Benny’s life story. She was truly sent by the Angels. Allowing us to unburden ourselves to her compassionate ear allowed our healing to begin. She explained each step in the procedure and allowed for our questions as well as our periodic expressions of tearful grief. When we said our final “goodbyes”, she lovingly took Benny’s suffering away as we assured him the he was indeed “a good boy”. We chose the option for water cremation and carefully prepared him for transport in her vehicle. The entire process was professional, compassionate and even a little spiritual. We are forever grateful to Dr. Lewis (and CodaPet) helping us through this difficult time and giving Benny comfort and peace as he traveled the Bridge.

We needed to put down our sixteen year old lab . I called her office to see wha were my choices for having her come to my home which she did. Bo our dog was very special to me he had been with me through a tough time in my life He was always with no matter what. Dr. Vernon came to my home she was so compassionate and caring. She walked us through what she was going to do and during each step she gave us time with Removing a 110 pound lab is not easy but she allowed me to wrap Bo in his blanket and then her and my husband took him out on a stretcher He looked so peaceful I miss him but I was fortunate to have Dr Vernon to be the one to help him cross over
Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
We were very fortunate to have found Dr Laura. She made a difficult situation a little easier. She was so kind and compassionate to my husband, myself and of course our boy Gibbs. We didn’t feel the process was hurried as she took the time to make us and our boy comfortable and that we understood what would be taking place.
