Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Santa Ana, CA
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.
In-home pet euthanasia with CodaPet's network of veterinarians provides loving, end-of-life care when you need it most. Once you schedule a visit online, you will receive a confirmation, and your vet will make sure everything is arranged with care and clarity.
When your vet arrives, they'll begin with a gentle assessment to reassure you of your decision and answer any questions you may have. Your vet will always move at your pace, giving you the time and space you need to say goodbye in your own way.
When you are ready, your vet will gently administer a sedative so your pet can relax and drift into a deep, peaceful sleep. After the sedation has fully taken effect, a final, humane medication is given, allowing for a calm and painless passing surrounded by love.
If you choose aftercare, your vet will respectfully care for your pet and transport them for cremation, handling every step with dignity and compassion.

Dr. Le Blanc was very kind and reassuring that we were making the right decision. I really appreciated her empathy. She was professional but compassionate.
How do I even start? One of the hardest decisions we come to in life... Is this the end for my baby? After seeing a decline in over all happiness and health with my Yinza girl. I had to make one of the hardest decisions I have made in a long time. I asked my husband should if we have someone come to our home or should I take her to the vet clinic to say our final good bye? After discussing, we both decided that we prefer to have Dr. Amy come to our home. I scheduled the appointment online and honestly dreaded the days to come. I took off work and spent the whole day with my baby, knowing in a few short hours I would be devastated with the loss of our packs matriarch. The appointment was quickly approaching. Dr. Amy reached out to let us know she would arrive soon. Then the time came. I walked my girl out to meet her so she would feel safe with someone being in our home she didnt know. We walked inside and Dr. Amy gave us an overview of the whole process. The time finally arrived... What felt like a few mins was over all a 2 hour process. She insisted we take our time, as she knows this is a hard thing to experience in life, saying a final good bye to your loved one. I have never used at home euthanasia. But knowing this service is out here for us to use, I will 100% use this in the future if needed for my other fur kids. I cant thank Dr. Amy enough for doing what she does and offering this service. My husband and I are grateful that we did schedule for our girl to cross the rainbow bridge from the peace and quiet of our home. Thank you Dr. Amy for offering this service. Thank you for allowing me to have all the time needed to say goodbye to my baby. It was a pleasure meeting you, givin the circumstances.
Melissa was wonderful. She was compassionate, caring and took her time and let us take our time too. She explained the process without being clinical and didn’t rush. She made an extremely difficult and sad process much more bearable for my family and I.
When it was time to cross our beloved fur baby over, we used CodaPet. We have used another at-home pet euthanasia company, but our last experience with them was very unpleasant. Dr. Daniela Lutri came to our home and assisted our fur baby to cross over. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Lutri for the extraordinary compassion and care she provided during a difficult moment in our lives. Saying goodbye to our beloved fur baby was heartbreaking, but Dr. Lutri’s presence brought a sense of peace and dignity to the experience that we will never forget. From the moment she arrived, Dr. Lutri was kind, gentle, and incredibly patient. She took the time to ask us about our fur baby, and our fur baby’s health issues. As she became acquainted with our fur baby, she pointed out some other health issues that were obvious to her. Hearing Dr. Lutri share them with us validated that we were making the right decision. Dr. Lutri explained everything to us with tenderness and respect, allowing us to move at our own pace. Her calm and compassionate demeanor created a safe space for our family to grieve and say goodbye. The way Dr. Lutri guided our baby through her final moments was nothing short of beautiful. It was peaceful, serene, and filled with love—exactly what we had hoped for. Knowing our fur baby passed in the comfort of her home, surrounded by love and without fear, has brought us immense comfort in our grief. Dr. Lutri is truly a gift to families navigating the loss of a cherished companion. Her work is more than a service—it’s a calling, and we are forever thankful for her grace and empathy.
This was the first time we ever used an at home euthanasia and Dr. Mary Juber is a literal angel and came highly recommended and we can see why. She helped make one of the worst days just a bit more easier to bare. We had to let go of our fur baby Izzy on April 15th as Izzy let us know it was time for her to pass. Dr. Mary Juber was more than accommodating with an emergency visit for our baby girl as she had been battling brain cancer for quite a while. She explained everything and made us and our fur baby as comfortable as possible and allowed our baby girl to pass peacefully, as pain fee as possible and with the utmost care and love. I can not recommend her enough if you ever need a service such as this. She even came prepared with treats and ready to help us have a keep sake of our babies fur which we didnt even think of. She was also an extremely calm and quiet presence which is what is needed in a time such as this. Thank you so much Dr. Mary Juber the world needs more caring people like you!
Dr. Daniela Lutri was very kind, warm and patient with us and our beloved cat. She helped us understand what our cat was going through and eased our guilt with scheduling her euthenasia. We didn't feel rushed either. Given the circumstances, it was a good experience.
