FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Jason was very compassionate. It is hard to put the words together while still grieving. But I would definitely recommend Dr. Jason for when that difficult decision needs to be made.

Dr. Korsgen was the most empathetic and kind professional during the euthanasia of my canine friend. She even went the extra mile to rearrange her schedule to arrive at my home a few hours earlier than originally planned, because my dog's decline and suffering were escalating. I'm not a religious person, but Dr. Korsgen was an angelic presence. She was so sweet and gentle with my dog, and so very patient and understanding with me. I will always be thankful to Dr. Cory Korsgen for her special touch.

Words can't begin to convey how grateful that I am for the sincere care and concern Dr. Perzak provided to me and my wife as we made the incredibly difficult decision to assist our beloved, Remington (Remi), pass from this life to the next. She was extremely patient in explaining the entire process and could not have provided any better support and service to us in our most difficult time. The "gift" she provides with this in-home service allows the animal (and their caregivers) the comfort and dignity of having this transition happen in a comfortable surrounding. This made all the difference for us. There are angels on this earth and I am convinced that Dr. Perzak is one of them. I will never forget the compassion she showed to Remi...and to us. May God bless her and all those that are dealing with this difficult process and may we all be comforted in this time of loss.

The terribly sad duty of euthanizing our beloved dog was made much more bearable by our decision to have it done in our home, the only home our dog had ever known. We chose CodaPet to provide this service and the Doctor whom they sent could not have done a better or more compassionate job. She was absolutely skilled, extremely gentle, and was our friend by the time the service was completed. We are totally satisfied with what transpired and would refer anyone to CodaPet should they face the same tragic duty.

Dr. Lewis was very compassionate and empathetic helping us with Porkchop. She took her time explaining the process to us and guided us through the whole thing. It was a very peaceful way for Porkchop to go and Dr. Lewis treated him with great care.
