Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Anniston, AL
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Brielle Dzierga was absolutely amazing during a very sad and traumatic time for our family. Losing our precious Marley was extremely scary and painful. Dr. Brielle was very professional and patient during the process. She took time to explain the process so that we knew exactly what to expect. She comforted us and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. Dr. Brielle hugged us many times before she left with our precious Marley. I highly recommend Dr. Brielle Dzierga to help your pet cross the Rainbow Bridge.
Dr. Jackson came to us on fairly short notice. He was soft spoken, supportive and gave our dog a comfortable and dignified passing in our home. What a blessing it was to have him come and let our dog pass in the place he has been so well loved. I can’t recommend this service enough.
Deciding to use Codapet and Dr. Lisa was the best decision we could have made. Dr. Lisa was incredibly kind and compassionate every step of the process. From the moment Dr. Lisa walked into our home, we felt at peace. She explained every step, was in every moment with us and even cried with us. Dr. Lisa was so thoughtful throughout the process as well. Bringing snacks and yummy chocolates for our boy Tango’s last treats. Dr Lisa’s routine is so carefully thought out for the comfort of our pet and for us. The very last step was walking out to her car for Tango’s final ride. Dr. Lisa’s thoughtful act of kindness had her car beautifully set up with flowers. She encouraged one last final goodbye kiss to our boy Tango then gave us the BIGGEST HUGS ever. For such a terrible occasion, Dr. Lisa made it possible for us to get through it all. I have already given out Dr. Lisa’s info and will continue to do so. Can not recommend a better person for this. I sure hope Dr. Lisa is still practicing this act of kindness when it’s our boy Milo’s turn. Thank You Dr. Lisa for the Best experience for us saying goodbye to Tango. So much love and appreciation, Jamie and Andrea.
When my vet gently hinted that my furbaby did not have much time left, it was hard to swallow, but I knew that I needed to educate myself about how to keep him comfortable and how to give him the love he deserves. CodaPet was one of the options suggested, and as devastating as this has been for me, choosing this option has brought me some peace. I didn’t want my furbaby to be cold and scared and surrounded by unfamiliar smells and in pain. No. When the vet told me that it was time, we did it the right way. We were able to be home, filling him with love and attention and snuggles on his favorite beanbag. He wasn’t afraid or in pain. It was very gentle, and Dr. Perzak is an angel.
My experience with Dr. Cassandra Lewis went way beyond my expectations. I contacted CodaPet to find a vet that would perform in home pet euthanasia. Ivy, our 16 year old kitty had stopped eating and drinking and was telling us it was time for her to go. Her behaviors changed over the course of a few weeks. She became very snuggly and demanding attention at times, but she also hid and seemed disoriented. As much as my heart didn't want to make the call, I contacted CodaPet to set up an appointment. I had heard of this service before and I really wanted to find someone to come to our home because Ivy hated going to the vet. I didn't want that to be her last time with us. The woman I spoke to at CodaPet (don't have her name) was very kind and helpful. I received emails and texts prior to the day that explained the process, and was encouraged to reach out with any questions. They made sure I knew that I could also cancel the appointment if I changed my decision. Dr. Lewis is very compassionate and truly cares about people and their pets. She made the process as easy as it could be. She explained everything she was doing and made sure we were okay with everything that was happening. I chose to have Ivy on my lap where she was most comfortable. She was already very tired and had slept the entire day. Ivy was given one dose to relax her (like an anesthesia) and then after 10-15 or so, another dose to stop her heart. Just a few minutes after the second dose she was gone. I am so thankful I could have her on my lap to cuddle her and talk to her during the whole process. Dr. Lewis asked if we wanted a paw print and some fur to keep. We saved some fur and she put some in two small containers for us. We also had the option for Dr. Lewis to take Ivy with her for cremation but we opted to keep Ivy and take car of her ourselves. I highly recommend CodaPet and Dr. Lewis. I'd give her 50 stars if I could!
"The absolute worst day was maybe a little better thanks to Dr. Dennis." I've never had to decide to ease my pet's pain and suffering. Let alone for my dog Sassy, who introduced me to my wife and helped us build such a beautiful life and family together. I was back and forth with the decision, but finally got enough courage to make the call to help my friend move on to her next part of life. Dr. Natalie Dennis was absolutely heaven-sent during this decision I had to make. The actual procedure was great, and Sassy was comfortable and was able to pass with dignity and grace in the comfort of her home. The most important thing that needs to be highlighted is the care Dr. Dennis provided me and the family. It felt like welcoming a friend into our home. She was caring and thoughtful and asked to hear stories about Sassy's life. It wasn't an easy decision, but I expected my friend to be taken care of, I didn't expect me and my family to be taken care of and supported in the way she did. A thousand thank yous to Dr. Dennis, truly an angel.
