I truly don’t know where to begin, but “thank you” doesn’t begin to describe how much we appreciate and are so grateful for Dr. Jacob. As an RN with 20+ years of experience and a rescue/foster mom to many fur babies over the years, I always pray for the doc who has the ability to have bedside manner and skill. That’s a rarity. Dr Jacob is one of those rare physicians who truly embodies both qualities. My husband and I knew it immediately. Our boy Tank did, too. He would have made it known immediately if he didn’t feel safe-even if it took his last breath to do so. He never flinched when Doc stepped into our home. That told me all I needed to know. Our boy was able to transition peacefully because of this gentleman. He gave our boy what we couldn’t-a comfortable and gentle ending to a life well lived surrounded by the ones he loved and in the place he was most comfortable. All of us were treated with the utmost respect and kindness from the time he arrived until the moment he left with our soulmutt. We are eternally grateful for him. His willingness to subject himself to such situations when so few vets are willing to now is admirable. It may be a job, but providers are human, too. It carries over to them as well. He’s willing to subject himself to that in order to give a family and their beloved animal the most peaceful final goodbye possible. We will always be grateful and respect the wonderful vet who treated each of us with such kindness, respect, and professionalism during such an emotional, gut wrenching, heartbreaking time. It made a horrible evening a bit less painful for each of us. We thank you. I know Tank does, too. You are fulfilling a calling and it showed. Nurses don’t give praise easily, but you are more than deserving. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Furever and always…Ryan, Natalie, Tank, and Weller❤️🩹
