Dr. Marisel San Miguel

We had a 12.5 year old Great Dane that had been struggling for a while with her back legs and hips. We knew we didn’t want to wait until she couldn’t get up at all so we had Dr. Marisel come assess her and let us know her honest opinion. We knew in our hearts it was time but just wanted to make sure since she was still alert and Dr Marisel was so kind and gave us all the information/ education we needed to make the best decision for our girl. Dr Marisel was never pushy and overall very professional and sympathetic of the decision we were having to make. If I have the means and the time I will always choose in home euthanasia knowing my pets can be in the comfort of their own home and in a familiar place when I put them at peace.

They were punctual, respectful and kind. They leave you plenty of time to say goodbye and to grieve in private before the final shot. They are not intrusive at all and they will allow you to say goodbye somewhere that your animal is comfortable with instead of its last moments being in a cold uncaring vet office.

Having to say Goodbye to your furbaby especially when you have to decide it's time for them its never easy feat. We had been through this in the last year or two with 2 others. We first learned of In-home Euthanasia for pets from a neighbor who had her Dog put down & went on & on how great it was, it was loving & it was incredibly compassionate & gentle throughout the entire in-home euthanasia process. Our neighbor said she would never visit an office & only have it done in the convenience of her home where the fur baby knows & feels loved. Dr Marisel San Miguel with Codapet was our point of contact ( Codapet works with License Veternarians across the country for this service). We had scheduled a time but we knew time was of the essence & switched the appointment to earlier. Dr Marisel showed up 5 minutes early explained the process which wevbeen through before. Dr Marisel gave us time to love, grieve & cry with our Koby & didn't feel rushed in the comfort of our home that our koby knows. Dr. Marisel made a heartbreaking moment feel peaceful & full of love, treating our Koby with such dignity & kindness. Her calm presence, patience, & genuine care meant more to our family than we can express. Choosing in-home euthanasia for our dog Koby was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but it also gave us the chance to say goodbye in a peaceful, familiar place surrounded by love which we have done before. Being able to hold him, talk to him, & let him go without fear or stress brought comfort during an incredibly painful moment. Dr. Marisel and team were wonderful. The experience of losing a member of the family of 14.5 years was heartbreaking but their compassion and care allowed for our beloved Bruno to pass in the comfort of his own home while I held him until he reached the rainbow bridge! He was able to be surrounded by his family and just go to sleep at home, thankful for their support and compassion during this difficult decision and time!
