Dr. Poole was beyond wonderful. In such an emotionally difficult situation, she could not have been a more calming presence. She was so empathetic to the loss we were feeling. She was super patient and kind throughout the process. I would so highly recommend her to anyone making the difficult end of life decision for their pet.

Dr. Nunn's professionalism and empathy during the very dark moments of saying good-bye to my cherished & much-loved cat provided comfort in a situation where there otherwise is no comfort. Her gentle & respectful treatment of my boy gave him a peaceful, loving exit nestled in my arms. She also sat with me for several minutes after he slipped away. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Beth Nunn, whose presence provided strength when I desperately needed it.

Dr. Jessica Izlar is a Georgia native who was born and raised in Snellville and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Georgia Southern University in 2007. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 2014 after first being inspired by a childhood visit to UGA’s veterinary school. After more than a decade in small animal general practice, she felt a clear calling toward end-of-life care and founded Willow Bridge Veterinary Home Hospice and Euthanasia Service to focus on providing gentle, in-home support for pets and their families. Throughout her career, Dr. Izlar developed a special connection with senior pets and patients with complex medical needs. She believes end-of-life care is one of the most meaningful services a veterinarian can offer — helping manage comfort, preserve dignity, and guide families through difficult decisions with clarity and compassion. She considers it an honor to help pets pass peacefully at home, surrounded by love and familiarity. Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Izlar enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel, and her son, Cillian. She loves hiking, kayaking, reading, and watching movies. Her home is shared with a lively group of animal companions, including Duncan the orange tabby, Flower the Boston terrier, Shelly the Russian tortoise, and Sunflower the bearded dragon.

Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Duluth, GA

Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed

We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee

Other Consideration

If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.

Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.

Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.

FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Poole was kind, calming, and reassuring. She seemed to genuinely care about both our kitty and us. I would recommend her to others in a heartbeat. When the time comes for our other baby to pass, we would love to have Dr. Poole come out again.

So very grateful for this service provided. Its only a little more than a clinic euthanasia, and 100% worh it to have our cat comfortable in her final moments. Dr Noe was extremely kind and helpful guiding us through the process, texted us to see if we had questions before hand, and even had some lovely words with us to remind us love never goes anywhere. Thank you so much for helping my baby rest in such a gentle way.

Dr Dover with CodaPet was wonderful when she came to my home to euthanize my dog Scout who was in late stage Cushings and it was his time. She explained everything in detail before starting the process and updated me with what to expect at each step. She was so kind to Scout and made sure he was comfortable until the end. I recommend her highly.

Dr. Izlar is a kind and professional individual who ensures that your pet’s last moments are treated with compassion and dignity. When we said goodbye to our cat Mr. Darkness, Dr. Izlar made sure that he and we were as comfortable as we could be given the delicate nature of the circumstances. I cannot recommend Dr. Izlar enough.

After my cat battled Kidney Disease for 3.5 years, her health suddenly declined. I knew early on that I wanted, if it was possible, to have my cat (Pretty) euthanized at home. When the time came, I scheduled the appointment with Dr. Katie Simpson. On the day of, Dr. Katie was very attentive with her communications. She texted when she was on her way to my home and when she was parking. Seemingly simple texts were helpful to me as they inched me into prepping for the inevitable. When Dr. Katie arrived, I could immediately feel warmth emanating from her, which put me at ease. She met Pretty and observed her and assured me that I had made the right decision at the right time. Words I needed to hear. Dr. Katie listened to my telling of how Pretty came into my life and interwove the process and what to expect with more storytelling. When it was time, Dr. Katie was gentle with Pretty and allowed me time to grieve my loss. Dr. Katie stepped out for a bit to give me a few minutes to say goodbye. When she returned, she had a blanket lined basket to remove Pretty, which was a bit of relief as I didn't know what to expect, but it felt like one last hug for Pretty. As a final showing of support, Dr. Katie sent a condolence note thanking me for sharing stories of Pretty. My words that day were heard which meant a lot. I cannot imagine I would have had this same experience had I taken Pretty to a vet. I would encourage anyone who looks at the cost versus that of a vet, and to seriously consider choosing the at-home option. Pets are our babies, so give them the best of their last minutes if it's an option. Thank you Dr. Katie!!! Suzzanne C.
