Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Duluth, GA
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Dawn was just so amazing. Kind, compassionate, very professional. She helped our cat, Lucy with a quiet, caring passage to a pain free peace. Although this was a very hard decision to make we are so glad we choose Dr. Dawn and Coda Pet.
Nobody wants to let go of a family member. Dr Phillips did a wonderful job explaining the process and then listening to our stories to put us at ease. We are grateful to have had her in our home helping us through the process.
Dr. Bean and his assistant helped make Cheveyo's transition as gentle as humanly possible. Thank you so much. I will highly recommend you and CodaPet to anyone who's facing one of life's toughest moments. Our furry fella was enjoying little snacks that the doc had brought, surrounded by people who loved him, while he calmly drifted away. I can't lie, we were such a mess at the time, it's largely a blurr. However looking back with a clearer head, I can say it couldn't have been a more natural and calm setting to see him off. We were outside in the shade, exactly where Cheveyo loved to lie, listening to the birds, feeling the warm breeze on our faces. He was comfortable and stress-free knowing exactly where he was. He was home. In this familiar setting we bid our companion of the past 17 years farewell. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Previously having accompanied our kitty Knuckles to a vet's office to say goodbye(the only available option then), this experience felt so much more respectful and tranquil. This will alway be a personally gut-wrenching decision for anybody who loves their pet to have to make. I read somewhere that sometimes death is a gift. It doesn't feel that way at the the time, but I like to think this was the case. What kinder love can you give your sweet pet at the end than by lifting their suffering, accepting the heavy weight of it on ourselves to bear when they're gone? Cheveyo, you gave us more enjoyment and love than you'll ever know buddy. I hope you felt our love in return. We'll never ever forget you. Be free Cheveyo.
Dr. Poole was beyond wonderful. In such an emotionally difficult situation, she could not have been a more calming presence. She was so empathetic to the loss we were feeling. She was super patient and kind throughout the process. I would so highly recommend her to anyone making the difficult end of life decision for their pet.
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face, but having a compassionate veterinarian come to our home made all the difference. When it was time for our cat to cross the Rainbow Bridge, we wanted her final moments to be peaceful, familiar, and filled with love. Dr. Sara Gardhouse gave us exactly that. From the moment she arrived, she was incredibly kind, gentle, and respectful. She took the time to explain everything, never rushed me and allowed me to hold and comfort my cat in her favorite spot at home. The atmosphere was calm and dignified, which helped turn an incredibly painful moment into something beautiful and meaningful. My cat was able to pass peacefully, surrounded by the people and the home she loved. We are so grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown during such a difficult time. If you ever have to make this heartbreaking decision, having someone who treats your pet and your family with such care is truly priceless. It was the best experience we could have hoped for under the circumstances, and we will always be thankful for the kindness shown to our beloved cat in her final moments.
It takes a special kind of person to do this work, and I am so grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown to our family. Dr. Martin made our pet, and all of us, feel as comfortable and peaceful as possible in the privacy of our own home. The experience was so much more compassionate and gentle than a clinical setting; I don’t think I could ever go back to a vet’s office for this procedure again. Thank you for helping us say goodbye with such dignity and love.
