FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Dubose was an amazing help during a very difficult time. She was kind, patient and so tender with our boy Jax. We can't recommend her services enough. It was so much less stressful for him to be at home than at an unfamiliar office setting.
Dr Karen Whala was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and compassionate. So gentle and loving with our 16 year old kitty. It felt like having a dear friend come to our home and provide comfort during such a difficult time
Saying goodbye to our best girl after 15 years was so sad. Dr. Kristina Pugh told our family exactly what to expect while she was there. She gave us tips for helping our other pets say goodbye and to manage their behavior for the next few weeks. She was so kind and made this process the best it could be for our family. We felt that she cared for Rosie and handled us and our grief gently and with compassion.
During an incredibly difficult time, I am so grateful for Dr. Karen Duncan and CodaPet. Her kind and patient approach was focused on the most beautiful, and peaceful crossing over the rainbow bridge. We are left with soothing thoughts of our beloved senior cat's last moments. After some sedation was administered, we were able to say goodbye while he was still alert, and our last moments were happy. He was pain free and relaxed. It was peaceful and loving as we helped him cross together. No stress of a ride to the vet, or a scary environment. He was in our arms, in our home with his brother nearby. My biggest fear of his last moment suffering severely or an emergency that could not be de escalated did not happen thanks to the guidance of our vet, and this service. Allowing his litter mate brother the opportunity to see that his pal had moved will help him understand. Thank you for making what could have been a really horrible day, peaceful and spiritually satisfying. Humans should be allowed the same dignity when their time comes. He told us it was time. He was tired. His body could not fight anymore. And we listened. Thankfully we had the best help.
The only way we will say goodbye to our dogs is at home. The care that Dr. Cassandra took everytime we had to go through this was aamazing. No pressure, no rush, truly a blessing for our family and our pets
I am so grateful for the kindness and compassion Dr. Kate White showed while helping me say goodbye to my cat, Munchie. She was comforting, gentle, and caring, supporting both Munchie and me throughout the process
