After growing up in a small town in western Ohio, she earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her DVM from the University of Minnesota. Since 2003, she’s been practicing in Maryland, helping families and their pets with kindness, patience, and compassion. For Dr. Bailey, euthanasia is one of the most important and meaningful parts of veterinary medicine. She believes that pets deserve to pass in comfort, surrounded by love, and without fear or stress. She’ll take the time to talk with you, understand your needs, and create a plan that works best for you and your pet—whether that means making accommodations for a reactive dog, including young or neurodivergent family members, or simply finding the coziest place in your home to say goodbye. Outside of work, Dr. Bailey enjoys singing with the Frederick Chorale, sewing and quilting (many of the soft blankets she uses are ones she made herself), and spending time outdoors.
