Verified Veterinarian
I have never had to euthanize my own pets in the hospital setting and always want my pet owners to have the same opportunity. Its truly a beautiful peaceful experience though sadness and grief are present. I have found over the years that those who have chose this option, often can move past the grieving experience easier and remember the many happier precious memories together. Being a veterinarian was never a choice but a life calling. I was rescuing injured birds and worms and yelling at my brother for hurting ants as a very young child. Then I experienced the tragic sudden loss of a childhood pet and that solidified my desire to be a veterinarian. I wanted to do all I could to keep pets well and ease the pain of the animal and people who loved them when unexpected events occur. I have never forgotten the empathy and compassion I craved and the immense heartbreak I felt when I lost my best friend so suddenly .

Exceptional care, poise, and grace from Dr. Silvesti as she helped us cope with a very difficult situation. She was delicate, discrete and kind, her caring runs marrow deep. Recommend her strongest for all in-home care, as well as transition of life for pets.
Dr. Lauren Silvesti helped us through the heart-breaking process of letting go of our sweet, 17-year-old terrier, Brandy, in our home. From our final decision-making up through sending her to Heaven, Dr. Silvesti emanated compassion, understanding and empathy which made the process peaceful and bearable. We couldn't be more grateful nor recommend her more highly. Thank you! Sally Gannon
Dr. Silvesti was incredibly kind and gentle when we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Mojo. Her compassion made an unbearable day peaceful and dignified. We’re so grateful for her care.
Dr. Silvesti was absolutely wonderful. Very sweet with our pup and super mindful and considerate of our family that was here. Total professional and went above and beyond to help us with this process. I couldn’t imagine anyone else having helped us.
She truly was amazing and flexible with our schedule she understood our lifestyle and our dog. She was careful, sympathetic and so kind. We loved her energy and how careful she was with Yuki bear. She made everything easy and comfortable and calm. We highly recommend her and we recommended her to friends and family who also have pets.
Dr Silvesti was so compassionate and understanding of what a difficult time this is for owners. She made a difficult event into a peaceful passing for my pet Yakima and I’m so appreciative to have had her help.
