Verified Veterinarian
One of the things I love about veterinary medicine is the opportunity to care for both animals and their people. When it comes to end-of-life decisions, each family and situation is unique, and both the needs of the pet and its people must be taken into consideration. I am honored to come alongside families that want to say goodbye to their pets in the comfort and privacy of their own home. I want to provide this service because I know its value firsthand from personal experience with our own dog, Toby. We said goodbye to him at home a few years ago and found it to be an incredibly peaceful and private experience that honored his life and time with our family.

Making the decision to say goodbye to our beloved Medli was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done, but the compassion and kindness we received made all the difference. Dr. Melissa Clauson treated Medli with such gentleness and dignity, and gave us the time and space we needed to say goodbye. We never felt rushed, and every step was explained with care and empathy. We are so grateful for the support during such a painful moment. It truly meant everything to us.
