Dr. Rona Ellen

Dr. Rona Ellen

Tulsa, OK

Dr. Rona Ellen is a Tulsa-based veterinarian with 22 years of experience and a lifelong connection to animals that began in rural North Louisiana. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2008 after completing her undergraduate studies at Southern Arkansas University. Over the years, she built a career in relief veterinary work, stepping into clinics across the Green Country area and developing a deep appreciation for how much calmer and more comfortable animals are when they can stay in their own familiar surroundings. That insight is at the heart of why Dr. Ellen joined CodaPet. Having witnessed firsthand the difference that a peaceful, home-based environment makes for nervous pets and their families, she brings the same quiet, steady presence to every in-home visit that she honed across decades of practice. For her, nothing is more meaningful than helping a family say goodbye on their own terms, gently and with dignity, surrounded by the love and comfort of home. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Ellen is a devoted wife of 30 years, a proud mom to three grown sons, and an enthusiastic home gardener with a soft spot for heirloom tomatoes and her small backyard flock of chickens. When she is not outdoors, she is most likely reading in a quiet corner. She shares her home with a lively crew of rescues: Shaak-Ti, a silver point tabby; Ahsoka and Katoonie, two spirited terrier mixes; and Kanian, a one-eyed black cat with plenty of personality to spare.
