FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Jill Thomason was kind, sympathetic and accommodating. She listened to stories of our beloved kitty and thoroughly explained everything that was going to happen. She took great care of our baby and made sure not to rush us. It total it took about 45 minutes, but we could have had more time if we needed it. She was also prompt and arrived on time. I would highly recommend her should you unfortunately need this type of service.
Thank you, Dr. Emily for being here in our time of need. It's a very difficult thing to decide and to go through. Dr. Emily is so kind and supportive and not judgmental.
Words cannot describe how kind and caring Dr. Daniela Lutri was. She made the process so much easier. It was very emotional, as it was unexpected. But my furry bestie was in the most comfortable place she could be in. I can’t imagine having to have loaded her up and taken her into the vet. That would have not only been traumatic on me, but on my furry pup as well. I would highly recommend Dr Lutri.
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet companion is hard! Coda Pet and Dr. Deborah Perzak helped so much. Dr. Perzak was calm, attentive and compassionate. My dog passed without pain or fear. I am so grateful, and recommend this service without reservation.
Saying goodbye to your pet is never easy. CodaPet allowed us to do it in a way that was minimally stressful for our pet and allowed her to be in her favorite place among all her family. Dr. Magnotta was wonderful and the whole process was made as good as it could be.
Dr. Brittany was absolutely amazing. I will recommend her to everyone that I know when they are looking for a peaceful experience for their pet. My husband was running 20 minutes late for our appointment due to work and she offered to wait until he got home. My 3 daughters were very unsure about the whole process since Mr. Smalls was their first dog. Dr. Brittany took the time to explain everything and to make sure that my girls were ready to move forward to each step in the process before actually doing so. She allowed us as much time as we needed and it meant a lot to our whole family. She was insanely kind, patient and understanding. I honestly cannot thank her enough!
