FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

My darling old cat was slowly dying from kidney disease, and my fears of deciding too soon or too late nearly paralyzed my thinking process. Dr. Lara Allison listened carefully and thoughtfully to all of my concerns, fears, and observations, and she helped me follow my own intuition and make the decision to euthanize. No matter how well we understand the kindness we are providing our beloved pets by easing their suffering, the pain of their loss cuts deeply. Once I made to decision to proceed, Dr. Allison provided the most gentle, caring, and calming care I could have hoped for. My sweet old boy received the most peaceful sleep he had had in weeks, and Dr. Allison then gave him the transition to his forever happiness. My heart misses him grievously, but I know that I gave him the greatest kindness in the end, and that he knew I was taking care of him to the last. I’m so grateful to Dr. Allison for her gentle support.

Dr. Cassandra Lewis made the experience as good as it could have been. She came very quickly in our time of need and comforted us in this difficult time. It was so much better than the stress of going to the vet . Our precious Bella did not have to leave her home and went to sleep peacefully. I’m so grateful for this service . I highly recommend

My 16 year old lost the ability to stand and walk on a Saturday night. I googled "in home euthanasia" and found Dr. Bailey. I set up an appointment for Sunday morning at 11. Early Sunday morning I contacted Dr. Bailey to let her know that my dog was turning worse and she said that she could come at 8:30 a.m. She was warm and understanding and I was so appreciative that she provided a peaceful, familiar atmosphere for my dog's passing.

I can’t recommend Jessica enough. She has been an incredible veterinarian to all of my dogs over the years and when the time came to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye, she was truly a source of comfort and strength. She is calm, compassionate, and patient-Especially in moments when it’s hard to think clearly or hold it together. She took the time to explain everything in a way that made the process feel a little less overwhelming and treated my dog with such kindness and dignity. If you are looking for someone who generally cares and treat your pets, as if they were her own, you will be in the best hands.

I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beloved 16-year-old Schnoodle, Chief. Carolyn provided in-home euthanasia services, and I cannot say enough about the kindness and compassion she showed Chief and us. Carolyn was immediately warm and friendly and so understanding. She explained every step beforehand, answered our questions & made sure we knew what to expect. Her confidence was reassuring to us. The best gift she gave us was the opportunity for Chief to remain comfortable in his own home, surrounded by love. I was able to hold him in my lap as he peacefully passed; a memory I will always cherish. Carolyn showed genuine compassion for our family during one of the most difficult moments we’ve faced. I am deeply grateful for her care and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a peaceful, loving, and professional end-of-life experience for their pet.
