FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

For the most heartbreaking day, I didn't know how I was going to survive it, we had an angel come- Dr. Angela De Villa helped us through this journey. I am glad I gave my precious friend Bunny (cat) in home pet euthanasia, so she can be around her family and not be scared in her last moments at a vet clinic. Dr. Angela came in so softly we didn't even notice her, she was kind and comforting during this hard time, she was the angel we needed on this day.
We had Dr. Jessica Mumm come to our home on 02/06/2026 to help us put our sweet Snoop to rest. The scheduling process was easy, there were appointments available right away, and I received a call from Dr. Mumm before the appointment to ask if I had any questions etc. The process was horrible…I don’t think it could ever be anything but horrible; however, Dr. Mumm was kind, professional and reassuring from the moment she walked into our home, to the moment she left with our sweet boy. I was in a panic the entire time and all I can remember is her soothing voice talking me and my family through everything. She made a clay paw print and a rock with his name on it while we were saying our goodbyes. Never rushed us or made us feel that we were taking too long saying goodbye. Lastly, I’m sorry that you’re having to read this review as it more than likely means that you’re looking into these services; therefore, I’ll only suggest that you schedule the appointment with Dr. Mumm, or any other Vets that she works with. It will probably be the only process that goes smoothly during this difficult time.
Dr. Warren’s presence automatically brought peace and love and calm during Spooky’s final moments. Thank You in helping Spooky reach the rainbow bridge…God Bless🙏
Even though the experience of putting a cherished pet down is never fun, Dr. Banks was outstanding. She was kind and gentle with Pooh, our dog. She explained everything in great detail and in terms easy to understand. Her professionalism and manner with us and our dog was amazing. I would recommend Dr. Banks to anyone who has to consider euthanasia for a pet.
It's so odd to rate a home euthanasia of a beloved pet as "an excellent experience". It's not. It's devastating. This is the second home euthanasia I've had and given the choice, I will always choose this method. Not everyone gets to make this choice and my heart goes out to them. "Why?" you ask. Here we go. 1. The pet is not afraid. They’re in their home environment where everything is familiar and their favorite things are close at hand. 2. You aren’t adding stress by taking a sick animal on a car ride and into a business with other animals and lots of strangers. 3. I could take my time saying goodbye. Nothing was rushed. This process was three injections, with time between for the medication to take effect. Once my dog had passed, I had additional time to pet and cuddle my sweet boy. We put him on the stretcher when I was ready. It wasn’t a long time, but I called the shots. 4. The experience is dignified. I wasn’t a sobbing mess in public. I was a sobbing mess, but I was home. 5. As many support people as you need. I had several friends there for the final moments. I don’t know that I could have done that in a veterinarian’s office. Cost is a factor, so be sure to shop around for a service that lets you add items a-la-carte, rather than pre-charging you for things you may not want or need.
Dr. Brittany Rizzo was so kind and gave our 16 year old boy the most peaceful passing. Taking him to the vet would have been so stressful for him in his last moments. What a gift it was to say goodbye at home with his favorite people.
