FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

There's a special place in heaven for Dr. Michelli. ❤️ She helped us through one of the absolute worst days of our lives. She helped our best baby girl puppy (age12) cross the rainbow bridge in her worst condition. Doctor M. cried with us and loved on our sweet girl like she was part of our family. I can't give more accolades to this company. She made this terrible day bearable and showed our puppy nothing but respect and dignity through her last moments.

It takes a special kind of person to do this work, and I am so grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown to our family. Dr. Martin made our pet, and all of us, feel as comfortable and peaceful as possible in the privacy of our own home. The experience was so much more compassionate and gentle than a clinical setting; I don’t think I could ever go back to a vet’s office for this procedure again. Thank you for helping us say goodbye with such dignity and love.

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved cat, PeeWee, and we are so grateful for Dr. Jill Thomason. Having her come to our home made a world of difference. PeeWee was able to stay in her favorite spot, calm and comfortable, rather than enduring a stressful trip to the clinic. Dr. Thomason was incredibly gentle and patient, giving us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes, and made sure that our two large labs got the chance to say goodbye as well. She turned a heartbreaking day into a peaceful transition. Losing PeeWee was one of the hardest things our family has gone through, but Dr. Jill Thomason provided such compassionate care during her final moments. She explained everything with so much kindness and respect, ensuring PeeWee was never in pain. Her presence was steady and comforting, and we felt truly supported during the entire process. We cannot recommend her enough for anyone needing in-home euthanasia.

Dr. Michele Sims helped us say goodbye to our dog Robb, and I truly could not have asked for a more compassionate person to guide us through such a difficult moment. She was incredibly kind, gentle, and down to earth, and she treated both Robb and our family with so much care and respect. Her ability to schedule online and communicate quickly made everything much easier during an already emotional time. The entire experience was handled with warmth, patience, and dignity, and I’m deeply grateful that Robb had someone like Dr. Sims to help him through his final moments. If you ever find yourself facing one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make, Dr. Sims is exactly the kind of veterinarian you would want by your side.

Nobody wants to let go of a family member. Dr Phillips did a wonderful job explaining the process and then listening to our stories to put us at ease. We are grateful to have had her in our home helping us through the process.

It’s heartbreaking losing a pet. Dr Laura and the folks at CodaPet were amazing. They gave us all the time we needed and helped us to realize that we were doing the most compassionate thing for Dear Boss. I would definitely, highly recommend them. Dr Laura had tears in her eyes as we said our Goodbyes. We chose individual cremation with a paw print and it was very nicely done by Agape.
