The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

Dr Jessica Mumm was wonderful and supportive when helping our dog pass on. She spent time explaining everything while our dog went from person to person getting pets and love, even to her. She also confirmed that our dog, Coda, was ready to move on based on her condition. At the end, we kept giving Coda her favorite treats while the sedative was quietly administered, and gradually she relaxed completely and lay down to sleep with all her people beside her. Only then did Dr Mumm administer the other medications. It was a peaceful and calm transition and we are reassured that Coda’s last hour was exactly what she would have wanted. We had the best possible experience for a sadly expected event.
Saying goodbye to your pet is never easy, but when the time comes to make that decision, I couldn’t recommend at home euthanasia enough. Dr. Whala with CodaPet was such a blessing for our family. Her compassion, kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness with her plan of care for Sampson made an otherwise emotional and stressful time a healing one. Her heart for pets and their parents is evident in her care, and we will forever be grateful that she was there to help us say goodbye to our dog of 15 years.
Dr. Clem was very good at explaining everything to us. Very difficult time in anyone’s life. we very much appreciate being able to go through this in the comfort of our home. Dixie was as comfortable as can be expected.
When Dr. Wolfenbarger came to our home to put our Romeo to sleep, she was kind, gentle, supportive and knowledgeable. Throughout the process she was a great comfort to not only our beloved cat, but to our whole family. I can’t recommend this group of vets and their staff enough, in fact, they have people answering their phone 24 hours a day! This was the first time in my many years of pet ownership that I have utilized in-home end-of-life care for a pet, and I’ll never do it any other way again. He was able to stay fear-free, in his own home, surrounded by everyone he loved, and knowing that helps our grief a bit. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Wolf and CodaPet!
We had to make the decision to Euthanize our sweet Maltese. Dr. Marisel with CodaPet was wonderful. She made a heartbreaking time as peaceful and as comforting as she could for us. 10/10 recommend.
Dr. Stern was exactly on time. She came with professionalism, compassion, understanding, expertise, and humility. We are truly grateful for her!
