Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez in 2014. She went on to complete both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s of Public Health at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Since then, she has worked across various areas of veterinary care—including general practice, emergency medicine, and hospice and palliative care—before settling in the Shenandoah Valley with her family and three dogs.
