Dr. Evymarie Prado Sanchez
Also serves: Verona, Churchville, +116 more
Dr. Evymarie Prado Sanchez is devoted to ensuring your beloved pet’s final moments are filled with peace, comfort, and love. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez in 2014. She went on to complete both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s of Public Health at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Since then, she has worked across various areas of veterinary care—including general practice, emergency medicine, and hospice and palliative care—before settling in the Shenandoah Valley with her family and three dogs. You’ll feel Dr. Prado Sanchez’s deep compassion and dedication the moment you meet her. Her calling to end-of-life care came during her time in emergency medicine, where she witnessed firsthand the emotional weight families carry when saying goodbye. She believes every pet deserves a serene, loving transition at home, and every family deserves the time and space to grieve in a familiar environment. Her calm presence and gentle approach help bring comfort during even the most difficult goodbyes. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Prado Sanchez has a passion for cars—especially her 2001 Mazda Miata, which she’s lovingly transformed into a show car. She enjoys scenic drives through the Blue Ridge Mountains with her partner and their three dogs: Kojack, a loyal Blue Heeler; Moana, a sea-loving Golden Retriever; and Siby, a spirited Chihuahua-Husky mix from Puerto Rico.
