FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

I’m not usually much for leaving reviews, but I feel obligated to do so. Dr Lori Thomas did a wonderful job. This was an extremely emotional time for my family and Dr. Lori Thomas was so kind and understanding. Dr. Lori Thomas was extremely empathetic and she definitely helped us cope with our grief. I totally recommend if anybody is dealing with the unfortunate decision of euthanizing their loving pet to opt for an in home euthanasia. Also, you will cope with your loss a little better if you choose Dr. Lori Thomas to perform the euthanasia.

Dr. Canty has been providing excellent care for our senior Standard Poodle for approximately 4-5 years. Her compassion is second to none! On 12/07/2024 her & her assistant came to our home to euthanize our beloved Mia. It was a calm, lovely experience. Dr. Canty & Alex were patient & most caring. She also took care of having Mia’s remains removed right then & set up for cremation & an urn in advance.…we didn’t have to do anything during this heartbreaking experience. I highly recommend & am so grateful for her loving manner. She will be our veterinarian for the next dog we get. ❤️🐩❤️

I’m so grateful we were able to choose in home pet euthanasia for my sweet Maverick, who would have been so anxious if we would have had to take him into a vet office. I felt so much peace being able to hold him in his favorite room in the house while he passed away. Dr Karen was so kind, supportive, and helpful during the process. I will absolutely be recommending her to all of my friends and family when they face this difficult decision.

Dr. Jennifer Holman was excellent with our sweet baby Seiko. It is heartbreaking that we had to say goodbye to our girl but Dr. Holman made the experience easier on us. She was so gentle with Seiko and explained everything she was going to do.

Having Karen come to the house was the most beautiful, peaceful experience I could have wished for. She was soft spoken, compassionate, sensitive and loving toward my pet. I will never drive a pet to the vets office again for this difficult process. I held my cat the whole time. No anxiety, or pain. God bless Karen for her work.
