Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Nashua, NH

Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed

We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee

Other Consideration

If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.

Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.

Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.

FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

We recently had to say goodbye to our 17 year old very loved cat due to kidney disease. We wanted him to be able to have a peaceful departure in his comfortable, familiar home, and decided to pursue an at-home euthanasia. We set up a date and time with Dr. Lori Thomas of Coda Pet for later in the week so that we could spend some quality time and say our goodbyes. Unfortunately the disease progressed more quickly than we anticipated. When we contacted Dr. Thomas, she worked with us, and arranged to come that same day. Her calm, professional demeanor and compassionate care helped us through a very tough day., and our beloved cat was peacefully sent to sleep with the angels. I highly recommend Coda Pet's at home euthanasia program and Dr. Lori Thomas. They are both such a blessing.

We, unfortunately, recently utilized this service and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the process and Dr. Amy DeWitt. She was very sweet and made us feel at ease. The privacy and comfort of being home was worth any amount of money. In reference to money, the price was very reasonable and this will be the only way I ever do this if the situation were to arise again.

The utmost thanks to Dr Laura Alala for making our difficult time much easier in the end. Our Cat, Apollo, was beginning to suffer so much in his last days of fighting kidney disease which caused him to completely stop eating. I was with him all night and day watching him suffer and wasn’t sure he was even going to make it to his euthanizing appointment! I just wanted him to be able to rest in peace as soon as possible! I contacted to her and asked if there was any way to come early and she said “Yes, I will see what I can do”. She was able to change her schedule and come a whole 2 hours early. She put our dear family member and good buddy of 16 years to rest with respect, compassion and understanding. I liked how she took him away with him looking as if he was sleeping in a comfortable bed snuggled up in comfy blankets. So glad we had her come out!

Dr. Lori Thomas was a godsend. We had to make the gut-wrenching decision to say goodbye to our 15-year-old Zöegirl, and we are so grateful that Dr. Thomas was there to guide us through it. The experience was cozy, peaceful, and filled with so much empathy and love. She texted ahead of time to see if we had any questions or wanted to talk before the visit, and on the day of, she let us know when she was on her way. When she arrived, she greeted us like family. She took her time getting to know Zöe and made us feel comfortable with the hardest choice we’ve ever had to make. It was especially difficult because Zöe had sundowners, and during the day she could still seem so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But she had walked into the pool several times, was running into walls, losing her balance, and losing her way. As hard as it was, we knew it was best not to wait for a middle-of-the-night emergency or have to say goodbye in a stressful vet room instead of in the comfort of her own home. Dr. Thomas explained every step of the process and made sure we were ready and comfortable. She handled our girl with such care and love, even driving her off as her “copilot” in a basket in the passenger seat. We truly could not have been blessed with a better end-of-life experience or a more compassionate doctor. We are forever grateful.

Dr. Bean is absolutely the most kind hearted soul. I am so grateful that was able to help King Buddy for the last time. He was King Buddy’s vet for many years and always took great care of him. To have him come to our home was a blessing. King Buddy was put to rest while laying in his favorite sunbathing spot in the driveway with his human pack surrounding him. Thank you to Codapet, Dr. Bean and Brooke. King Buddy had a great life and a beautiful ending.

Dr Dover was so kind & understanding of how difficult it is to make the decision. I cancelled my first appointment with ease. Few days later I knew it was time! She was so gentle & loving to my almost 16 year old boy. She explained every step & what would happen next. No dog likes going to the vet, this was not a time to stress my boy out. If it’s your furry babies time I highly recommend Dr. Dover into your home.
