FAQs

The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.

During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment

Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.

It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.

Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.

You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

This was our first experience with at-home euthanasia, and we are so grateful for Dr. Courtney’s presence. She was incredibly comforting and handled everything with such grace, making a heartbreaking situation as peaceful and gentle as it could possibly be. If given the option, I'd chose to go this route over bring them into the vet clinic. Watching how calm my Peach was and how peaceful her last moments were made everything so much easier.

The woman who helped us, Dr. Elizabeth Parks, was incredibly kind and compassionate. She made an incredibly difficult day feel as peaceful as possible and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our dog Elle. We’re so grateful for her care and would recommend her if and when you have to make the hard choice for your pet.

Dr. Stadler was so kind and thoughtful. I appreciate her coming to my house to help ease my big kitty's pain. Even though he was 20 years old, it was still a very difficult decision that I struggled with. Being able to keep him in a familiar place surrounded by his family was so important to me. I am thankful Dr. Stadler's assistance and support during a hard time and that this service is available.

At the worst time when my beloved cat was fading Dr Lara Allison was a gift. I knew that I wanted in-home pet euthanasia and she helped at every step and her expertise was such a comfort. Letting go of him was so hard, but Dr Lara managed everything with such compassion and understanding and made it the best it could be in the hardest circumstance. She is the person you want by your side in this situation. I am very grateful.
