FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

The day we said goodbye to our beloved Cozmo was so hard. Dr Goldberg was kind, caring and compassionate. She asked about our life with Coz and what things stood out to us that he enjoyed. I told her how he used to love riding on the quad with me before he had gotten sick. I told her just a few days before, I had put him on the quad and rode him around the yard. He was sooo happy! My husband had taken this photo of us and you can just see the smile on his face. Later Dr Goldberg sent me a beautiful card and told me how very much she enjoyed the quad story. I sent her this photo and a few others. She thanked me for them and said how nice it was to see photos of his life when he was a happy healthy dog. I can't say enough about her and her compassion during such a difficult time. I truly recommend saying goodbye to your pet in this manner. They are so much more at ease at home and pass so peacefully. It is a truly humane way to say goodbye to you best pal.
I let my pup of nearly 16 years go this morning, and if I could give 500 stars for this service, I would do so happily. Dr. Megan Duvall could not have been more compassionate, more professional, more…perfect. I could go through each stage, every step, and it was so incredibly peaceful on the bed where she slept, in my arms, with not a shred of anxiety or pain. As this will always be the most difficult decision we make for our beloved companion, you want this experience to be as beautiful as it can be, and it was. I cannot recommend Dr. Duvall and Coda enough.
DR Kristina is amazing, we have had a few at home services and by far we felt the most connected to her and her compassionate ways. DR K was thorough and respectful at the same time. She gave us all the steps that she would be taking as Jake was set free. She was so gentle and the procedure went smoothly and without any complications. I would highly recommend DR Kristina Pugh to anyones pets that need end of life services. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough.
A very heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Jem who was so very caring, professional and compassionate. She explained every step that she was going to do and what would happen during each process and what she was going to do. She made it very comforting for me and my family to say goodbye to my Abby girl and have her go so very peacefully with no more pain.
As a dog loving family having to part with our dear Max was a very difficult decision. I am not sure anyone could have made this any less painful, but Dr Lauren Rexing’s care and compassion for not only us, but our loved one was amazing. She took her time with us and Max, enabling a private and compassionate time together. Her we are on your and Max’s time really showed she understands that pets are a part of you and your family. I hate to think I will ever have to do this again with our other dogs, but if I do, she will be who I call. Thank you Dr. Lauren…
Dr. Doolittle did a wonderful job helping us to say good bye to our dog of 17 years. Communication was great from before he got there, to when he did the final delivery of my dog's ashes. We were able to focus on comfort and saying goodbye with peace and love. Thank you
