FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

Dr. Katie Simpson was absolutely amazing during one of the hardest moments of our lives. She took the time to explain everything, reassured us that we were making the right decision, and treated our dog with so much love and compassion. She made the experience peaceful and comforting, and the paw keepsake she provided was such a thoughtful touch. We are deeply grateful for the gentle, dignified way she helped our baby girl pass.
Dr. Margaret Valentino was so kind and compassionate. Such a wonderful at home Angel sendoff for my beloved Lucy. I can't thank her enough for making this hard decision so special. I will for ever be grateful 🙏 🥲 thank you for treating Lucy so thoughtfully in her last moments. She was the best dog I could ask for. And this experience was the most heartwarming experience, to have her be able to be in her home with all her loved ones. Again, thank you ×1000
Absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Bean. We even initially put off the euthanasia because Dr. Bean saw potential. However his colleague performed further tests and his condition worsened and Dr. Bean with CodaPet was more than willing to come back out basically as soon as possible so he didn’t suffer. He and his college gave us time alone with our pet afterwards, and even made sure the arrangements we made were correct and set in stone before arrival. It was a very peaceful experience for my sweet perfect 11 year old boy who is now running over the rainbow bridge with his sisters.
Dr. Silberman made one of the hardest days of our lives so much more peaceful and calm. He was absolutely amazing with our Blu, and reassured us that we made the right choice. Thank you, Dr. Silberman 💙
So very grateful for this service provided. Its only a little more than a clinic euthanasia, and 100% worh it to have our cat comfortable in her final moments. Dr Noe was extremely kind and helpful guiding us through the process, texted us to see if we had questions before hand, and even had some lovely words with us to remind us love never goes anywhere. Thank you so much for helping my baby rest in such a gentle way.
Dr. Megan made one of the hardest days peaceful and calm. She explained everything that was going to happen and again as it was happening. I truly felt it was the best way to let our sweet dog go. I forever will be appreciative for the care and kindness Dr. Megan gave us.
