Dr. Katie Elder is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who focuses on providing in-home pet euthanasia services to ensure a peaceful and dignified farewell for your beloved companions. Originally from south Georgia, she completed her undergraduate studies at LaGrange College in 2014 and earned her DVM from the University of Missouri in 2018. After spending a year in Idaho, Dr. Elder found her home in Minnesota, drawn in by the beautiful landscapes, changing seasons, and welcoming community. Dr. Elder's passion for veterinary medicine stems from her experiences doing volunteer work in shelters, where she witnessed the struggles of vulnerable animals. These experiences inspired her to provide compassionate care to pets in need. Her focus on in-home euthanasia allows her to offer pets a gentle, comfortable end-of-life experience while providing their owners with closure and support during a challenging time. Outside of her practice, Dr. Elder enjoys relaxing with movies and older TV shows, playing Stardew Valley, and crocheting. When the weather permits, she spends time outdoors attempting to grow native or beneficial flowers for pollinators. She is the proud cat mom to five mischievous cats: Pippin, June, Winston, Simon, and Hallie.
