About
Dr. Katharyn Hart is a compassionate and skilled veterinarian who provides in-home pet euthanasia services. She grew up spending summers in Bakersfield and attending school in Florida and Georgia before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wesleyan College in Macon in 2003. Dr. Hart then pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at UC Davis, graduating in 2008. Her career began with equine veterinary work before transitioning to small animal care, where she found joy in preserving the bond between pet parents and their beloved companions. Dr. Hart's dedication to veterinary medicine began in her youth when she developed a love for horses, cats, and dogs. Her passion for animals guided her to her calling, and she realized the importance of providing pets with a peaceful passing at home. After experiencing the benefits of in-home euthanasia with her own pets, Dr. Hart is committed to offering this thoughtful and compassionate service to other pet owners. Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Hart enjoys camping and traveling with her husband and their dog, Fofa, a mini Golden. The couple shares a love for horseback riding, dancing, and beach trips. In addition to Fofa, Dr. Hart has two horses, Yozo and Lyric. Her warm approach and expertise make her a trusted partner for pet owners seeking end-of-life care for their pets.
