Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

I grew up with an abundance of pets, reading James Harriot's books, and decided at a young age that there could be no better career than caring for animals. I've loved all aspects of the job from surgery to wellness appointments to intense internal medicine cases. However, after our family lived through my father's diagnosis of ALS, and saw the gentle at-home care provided to him by care givers and hospice nurses, I came to understand the beauty of saying goodbye as a family in the place you feel most comfortable and have experienced the most love.
