Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

I have always had deep respect and reverence for all species. Aligning my career with my purpose has been a lifelong journey. After college, I explored the human-only social services field. After doing some deep-purpose work, I became clear that veterinary medicine would be my path for service work. It is an honor to support families and their beloved animals during the end-of-life process.

What pet parents are saying

Elizabeth did a truly amazing job of walking us through the process before and then allowing us to pace the process as it went. I am not sure it could be done any better. If I could leave 10 stars I would .

Dr Elizabeth Parks was so kind, compassionate, and very professional and respectful. She took time to get to know Lola and listen to our stories about her life and sickness at the end. The whole process was peaceful and stress free. Lola was very much at peace in her own basket in her own home with my husband and I with her the whole time. Dr Parks provided us and Lola a very dignified, respectful, peaceful passing. We would highly recommend her to anyone going through this difficult process.

Dr. Elizabeth Parks truly was an angel that made the whole experience of it being our mastiff Frasier's time to pass. The support and service was absolutely personalized, not rushed, we felt validated, heard, we had choices and power/control over many aspects of the experience- something my husband was really fearful of not being able to do due to Frasier's trust issues with others (not liking to be looked in the eyes by people outside of the family, growling, etc.). Frasier had a history is distrust and intense fear/insecurities when it came to any vet clinic or individual in various roles. Vet visits were typically traumatic in nature for Frasier as well as my husband due to him needing a muzzle, having to be sedated for every visit... despite the reason for the appt. Dr. Elizabeth Parks truly cared about Frasier and us despite just meeting us. She offered text and phone call support beforehand, offered advice when desired and listened. She absolutely cared about Frasier, our other dog Donnie and my family. My husband and I cannot get over how amazing she was. There was no judgement felt with what we chose and how we were managing the loss of our baby. She respected Frasier's boundaries and read our body language- her timing was perfect in regards to supporting those involved, answering questions and giving us time alone with Frasier. Thank you so much! We are so grateful for choosing this in-home service to help our Frasier pass. We highly recommend to anyone in similar situations. In-home euthanasia was something that helped Frasier pass without intense stress and trauma. Thank you, thank you!

Dr. Parks was a wonderful doctor to have with us during Nico’s final moments. We greatly appreciate her kind, thoughtful, and gentle approach during our incredibly difficult time. We were so grateful for Dr. Parks coming on fairly short notice and helping us through the heartache of parting with our beloved beastie Nico.

Better than I could have imagined!IM SO grateful we could give our old lady a wonderful goodbye in front of the fireplace in her bed.Very discreet hiding behind corners so our cat wasn't curious about the new person or weird smeeling stuff. She even sang along to our goodbye playlist...so sweet and respectful of time needed to go through goodbyes. Thank you so very very much!

Dr. Parks took great care to let me know each step in the process. She wanted Romulus to feel comfortable with her..Romulus seldom came out with even members of my family. But Dr. Parks is a "cat whisperer." With a soft voice and calm demeanor she had Romulus on his back. As she was gently rubbing his tummy he was purring and making " biscuits ". When I said it was time for the final injection Romulus passed quickly. She went outside for several minutes so my son and I could say goodbye. When Dr.Parks came back in she had a soft flannel covered cat bed. Gently she put him in the center and coverd him up to his chin with another blanket. Romulus looked so peaceful like a baby put to bed. I think that touched me the most. Dr.Parks treated my fur baby with respect and caring. I would highly recommend at home euthanasia.,I would also request Dr Parks to perform this procedure. Not only did she relieve Romulus from his pain, she comforted me in my grief.
