Verified Veterinarian
While growing up, I was inspired to become a vet after an emergency with my family’s cat (luckily, she made a full recovery with the help of my local vet). I was impressed by everything a vet can know from examining a pet, and I wanted to be able provide the same reassurances to those with sick or injured pets. This is part of why I am providing in home euthanasia. It gives me the opportunity to learn about other people’s bonds with their pets while being able to assure them that they have done everything they can for them. It is truly a privilege to be trusted to provide your pet with end-of-life care. As a self-employed relief veterinarian with a highly variable schedule, it has been difficult to find a business partner to help provide in-home euthanasia. CodaPet’s unique model allows me to still see appointments as a relief veterinarian while also providing in-home euthanasia services. This enables me to take another step in my career by expanding my range of services and growing professionally as a veterinarian. From my travels around Cleveland as a relief veterinarian, there seems to be an increasing demand for in-home euthanasia services in the comfort of the animal’s home. Pet owners, who have already made a difficult decision, can be more at ease knowing this service is available. It can also help those who are unable or have difficulty leaving their homes.
