Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

I was raised on a family farm near Trenton, Missouri. My parents raised livestock and taught me the business of farming. I was in both 4-H and FFA and did chores on the farm. At the county fair I showed the family’s livestock. During my childhood, my family pets were a Siamese cat named Cindy and a Dalmatian named Lady. Always learning, I have studied acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Chi Institute in Riddick, Florida. I believe clients should have choices including holistic services. My goal is to provide the very best conventional medicine and a full menu of complementary services for her patients.

What pet parents are saying

Fantastic. Very friendly and gentle about the situation. My family copes with humor and she adjusted very quickly even as we were switching from humor to crying. This was a 17 year old cat and the whole family was going through a lot of emotions all at once.

Dr Roberts was the best! She was so kind and accommodating with our questions and needs. She very sweet to our little Ubu. We wanted the ashes to be with us. After a week, we picked up Ubu at his vet. The ashes were well presented and packaged. Thanks again Dr Roberts! -Claudio

Dr Amy is a compassionate competent Vet who took great care of my son Otis. She even remembered caring for him prior. It’s the hardest thing to let them go but she is understanding, professional and efficient.

Dr Roberts was great. Our sweet cat didn't want to leave the bathroom where he felt comfortable and she sat on the floor in there with him. She was so kind. My husband said we'd never again take a pet to the vet's office for end of life care. At home is definitely the way to go.

Dr Amy was wonderful through the entire process of contacting us, having her in our home, and reaching out afterward. She was very in tune to our grief, and completely understood our desires for Lexi's last day. She gave wonderful words of encouragement and care.. to us and to Lexi. One of the things that really stuck with me was her telling us, "you gave her a gift". Making the decision to say goodbye to your pet is so hard--you always second guess your decision. Dr Amy made us feel like we had made the absolute right decision. Her calming presence was such a blessed thing on a very hard day.

Dr. Roberts was so compassionate and comparing. While losing a pet is traumatic, she could not have been more kind nor more patient in explaining to us each step of what would happen with our dog, Lincoln. I would strongly recommend Dr. Roberts' services for any family that would prefer to say goodbye to their pet at home. We were able to sit outside in the sunshine and surround Lincoln with love in his final moments. It was truly the best possible scenario for a difficult situation.
