Why I provide at-home pet euthanasia

In general practice, I always gravitated toward end of life care for pets and their families as she felt it was important to provide a peaceful experience for pets and their parents. I believe that in-home euthanasia creates a calm and comforting environment for pets and their families as they say goodbye to their life-long companions.

What pet parents are saying

Dr Amanda was so very kind and compassionate during her visit… she wanted to know all about our sweet Chevy and got to “know” him for a little while. She made a very emotional day a little easier… praying over him as he passed. That touched my heart! God Bless you Dr Amanda

Amanda was so amazing during this difficult experience. If you are struggling with the decision I highly recommend her. She took time with us and our sweet Ace.

Dr. Harper has one of the kindest souls of anyone I’ve met. She helped carry my family through this experience, all while being informative and so respectful of our sweet pup. I could never repay her for the gift of the calm, peaceful send off for a most special and beloved member of our family. It was what he deserved and she was amazing.

Giving up our sweet dog Jasmine of almost 15 years was heartwrenching. Of course we also did not want to see her miserable and suffering. So glad we found Dr Amanda Harper. She came to our home and made this all go very smoothly. Jasmine went to sleep laying across our lap as we showered her with hugs, kisses, praises and prayer. She went peacefully. For such an incredibly difficult thing to do… Dr Harper made all the difference. She even had a doggy gurney and helped me carry Jasmine to the burial spot in my back yard. So glad we did not take her to the vet for this. Thank you Dr Harper! God Bless, George Davis

Dr. Harper was possibly one of the most compassionate and gentle vets we have ever known. She made a very difficult appointment as beatiful and peaceful as it could have possibly been. I sympathized with her difficult duties with clients she had never met and never been to their home. She handled it all beautifully.

Our experience with Dr. Amanda Harper was wonderful. She has the kindest heart and made sure we were ready and went over everything that she was doing. We are so grateful for her service and how well she took care of our dog and us during his last moment.
