About

Dr. Suzanne Causey, a native of North Carolina, has dedicated her life to serving both animals and their human companions. Graduating from North Carolina State University with both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees, Dr. Causey has been practicing companion animal medicine in North Carolina and Virginia since 2004. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, she values providing exceptional medical care and forming partnerships with pet parents, offering a unique blend of veterinary expertise and counseling skills to those experiencing loss. Driven by a passion for veterinary medicine ignited during her teenage years following the loss of one of her own beloved pets, Dr. Causey understands the profound bond between humans and animals. She recognizes that the loss of a pet can be a deeply emotional experience, and her innate gift for supporting those in distress enables her to provide comfort and solace during these difficult times. Dr. Causey's commitment to serving her community extends beyond veterinary care; she is also actively involved in church activities, community initiatives, and Weimaraner rescue groups. Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Causey cherishes family time and enjoys outdoor adventures such as hiking and kayaking. She finds fulfillment in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, sharing stories, and experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and wines. At home, Dr. Causey is the proud mother of Finn and Max, two playful and loving rescue Blue Weimaraners, whose lively presence brings joy and excitement to her household. With her unwavering dedication to providing care, comfort, and compassion, Dr. Suzanne Causey is honored to support you and your furry family members during life's most challenging moments.
