Verified Veterinarian
I decided I wanted to become a veterinarian after watching one carefully and methodically remove two dozen porcupine quills from the face of my family's Labrador when I was 8 years old. Early in general practice, I concluded that one of the greatest gifts we can offer our patients is peace in their passing. As the years went on, I realized doing so in the comfort and familiarity of the pet's home is yet another gift we can provide. And thus the desire to provide in-home euthanasia arose.

Dr. Houck was wonderful from our first interaction just after scheduling the appointment, throughout care and follow up. Her care and compassion for both my family and our pet helped to ease the pain of a very difficult situation. I can’t recommend her enough.
We were fortunate to have Dr. Houck to assist our wonderful boy move on. Her communication before and during the visit was kind, caring and thoughtful. Would highly recommend.
She was very gentle and caring. Having to say goodbye to our dog Cooper was a very difficult decision, but Dr. Houck helped Cooper stay calm and feel loved until the very end. I can't say more great things about this service being provided in the comfort of your own home.
Dr. Houck was so kind and compassionate when she came to our home. It's a wonderful service to have to be able to let your pet remain comfortable in their own home. Dr. Houck brought the sweetest basket to transport Gibson to the crematorium. I cannot thank her enough for helping Gibson to have a peaceful passing and took his medical concerns into consideration. Thank you, Dr. Houck.
Dr. Houck was absolutely wonderful during such a heartbreaking time. She answered all of my questions the day before we had to euthanize our sweet Wally. She helped calm my nerves when I second guessed whether I was making the right decision. Dr. Houck was extremely professional and such a calm and reassuring presence throughout the entire process. We can never thank her enough for helping our Wally boy cross the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by my husband, son, and I in our own yard so he could enjoy the fresh air at home in his final moments.
We were greatly blessed to have Dr. Houck help our dearly loved Buster. She was an answer to prayer and came earlier than scheduled, due to his increase of pain. She was professional and compassionate and so very gentle in her demeanor and with our Buster. Though we miss our sweet baby boy more than words can describe, we are so thankful for his most peaceful passing. Thank you, Dr. Houck, from the bottom of our hearts. Virgil & Lisa
