Note: Your vet can only assist with cremation options, and does not handle burials of any type.
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of a friend or family member. When your vet contacts you prior to your appointment, talk to them about options and limitations, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pet's return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet will coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
During in-home pet euthanasia, your veterinarian will first ensure your pet is comfortable by administering a gentle sedative, allowing your pet to relax peacefully. Once fully sedated, the veterinarian will give the euthanasia solution, which painlessly stops your pet's heart within moments. You'll have as much time as needed to say goodbye, and afterward, your veterinarian will discuss aftercare options with you, such as cremation or burial arrangements. Knowing when it’s time often involves observing your pet’s quality of life closely. Key signs include persistent pain, loss of appetite, decreased mobility, difficulty breathing, and loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed. Trust your instincts—if your pet has more bad days than good, it might be time. Discussing these concerns with your veterinarian can also provide valuable clarity.

This was, unfortunately, our second time using this service. But I will never go through this any other way. The vet who came the first time many years ago had moved away so I chose Dr. Karen this time because I was present when she helped my sister say goodbye to her dog a few years ago. Her beside manner is absolutely beautiful. She's so calm, patient, caring, and soft spoken. As soon as she walked in the door, it was as if she's a regular guest in our home. She sat down on the floor and immediately made friends with our Herman. He felt safe and comfortable with her right away. She explained every step of the process thoroughly and told us what to expect. More importantly, she explained it in a way our children could understand. It had been ten years since our last goodbye, and I hope it'll be that or more until our next. But I also hope Dr. Karen will still be available when that time comes. I recommend her 100%. Thank you, Dr. Karen 🤍

We recently had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved pet Nugget and I can’t express enough how grateful we are for Dr. Clem. From start to finish, she made the process as peaceful and comfortable as it could possibly be and my heart is filled with joy that we were able to do this as our last gift for my sweet girl. Dr. Clem was incredibly kind, empathetic, patient and took the time to answer all of our questions and ease our concerns. She gave us space to process the decision, but also offered guidance with such gentle understanding. The at-home euthanasia service was a blessing and really the best decision we could have made. It allowed our pet to be in their own familiar space, in her own bed, surrounded by pure love. Dr. Clem truly has a gift for this delicate work and she made a difficult day much easier to bear. If you are facing the tough choice of euthanasia for your pet, I highly recommend Dr. Clem for in home euthanasia not only for her expert care and deep empathy, but above all, her understanding of how to make such a painful experience as loving and peaceful as possible. Dr. Clem even returned my sweet Nugget in a urn, engraved with her name. I really cannot emphasize enough how much this process helped me accept Nugget’s transition home with such peace. If you are on the fence about having Dr. Clem do an in home euthanasia, this is your sign not to be! Thank you Dr. Clem and Codapet for everything. You’ve left an everlasting mark on our hearts and we will never be able to thank you enough - The Carlson’s

Dr. Noe helped put our 20 year old cat to rest. When we put our two other pets to sleep they were awful experiences due to the veterinary offices and their actions. Our cat and dog were mishandled and panicked. She explained the process well, made us feel comfortable during an awful time and made Smokie comfortable until her last breath. Home euthanasia is recommended to those parents that don't want to give their babies the added stress of a car ride and a vet office.

During the worst time of my life, I could not have asked for a more compassionate, accommodating, and caring person to come to our home and help my Riley cross the rainbow bridge. Riley’s health declined very suddenly and quickly, sending my husband and I into a spiral, and while part of me wanted to do this with his regular vet, who has spent the last few years doing everything they could to make his life the best it could be, I could not imagine saying goodbye to my best friend of over 16 years in a clinic on a metal table. Finding Dr Lewis was truly the best decision we could have possibly made. She was very communicative from first contact, gave us all the time we needed before and after, and took such good care of my boy, including ensuring the engraving on his urn was perfect and hand delivering him back to us. I am truly grateful that I stumbled upon Dr Lewis in my search and cannot recommend her enough to anyone needing to make this gut-wrenching decision. She’s truly the best ❤️

Dr. made this very easy for me during this time. I knew I was doing the right thing for my Bo. She was thoughtful and gave me a the strength. If I ever need this type of help I will call her without hesitation. Thank you again. Eric
