I can't say enough fabulous things about Dr. Jessica Pruitt! It was a hard decision (as it always will be) when its time for our "buddies" to have to leave us:( but Dr. Jessica is so gentle and kind. She explains everything, is very patient and my Molly just warmed right up to her which made things even easier. I can't express the gratitude to Dr. Jessica enough as she made this as peaceful as can be for all of us:) Thank you Dr. Jessica!
Dr Dawn Fitzhugh was an incredible comfort to all of us during Phineas’s final hour. She has a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of the death process than any general practice vet I’ve ever worked with, and explained every step patiently and compassionately. I’m forever grateful to her for easing my sweet boy’s suffering.
This was definitely the way to give your baby wings. My dog was very afraid of the vet office, and i did not want him to be on his last day on earth. Dr Anna was on time, very loving, caring and made us all feel at ease with going forward. She even brought a treat for him, and my very usually picky dog ate it! She was amazing, and I would definitely call on her again. Thank you, Dr Anna. The Hallfrisch's.
Dr. Murray was so kind and empathetic. The compassion he provided to us and our loved one was so special. . I am forever grateful to Dr. Murray for the care and respect he showed our family and pet. Thank you so much Sarah Vidosh and Ike RIP❤️
Dr. Katie Todd was so unbelievably kind & compassionate. She made an absolutely awful experience as peaceful & supportive as was possible. We are so grateful for her service.
Our 15 year old black lab Rufus was struggling and we just could not make a decision what was best for him during this season. We tried so many at home euthanasia vets but they wanted to schedule weeks out. Yes, this bought us time with our boy, but when it was HIS time Dr. Blades was available ASAP. Rufus was so comfortable with Dr. Blades and his compassionate care made it easier for our family as well.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Houck or Coda Pets. Recently, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beloved dog, Reese. Dr. Houck showed such compassion, patience, and empathy throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure Reese was comfortable and peaceful in her final moments. What touched me most was how genuinely they cared—not just for Reese, but for me as well. Their gentle kindness and respect turned one of the hardest days of my life into one filled with love and gratitude. I’ll always be thankful for the dignified and tender way they helped Reese cross the rainbow bridge.
Last month we said goodbye to our precious 17 year-old dachshund, Lucy. After seeing an online post telling of their own personal experience with home euthanasia, we knew that would be an excellent choice for us as well. We had Dr. Kirsten Stukey, with CodaPet, come to our home. Our primary concern was to not add any more anxiety than necessary for Lucy and Dr. Stukey was perfect in every way. We reached out on their website, she quickly responded, and our appointment was set. She arrived promptly and met our little girl. Dr. Stukey explained how she would do things, and made sure she answered all of our questions. I was happy that I could hold Lucy throughout the entire process, it was so peaceful. Dr. Stukey is the most compassionate, gentle, caring individual, just what you want when having to say your last goodbye. I highly recommend Dr. Stukey if you ever need this service.
Dr. Thomason was so supportive and helpful during such an incredibly hard time. I can't say enough about what an amazing vet she is. RIP Lovely Lolita
Dr. Huntley was able to come to our house within 24 hour period, as our friend and pet Elmer, could not get into a car and the last 2 days, get up from the floor, so, it was time to help him, though I was not ready. Nobody ever is. Dr. Huntley is SO compationate with our family, who was there to say goodbye. My wife and I held him so he knew that we were going to miss him. I would have rather met Dr. Huntley in another way, but we are glad, there is a service that can take care of everything. She was very respectful and compassionate when it came to the "time" and the after care. Elmer is running with his friends that left us before, and I can't wait to see them all again.
We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. Dr. White was so kind and compassionate, explaining the process as it progressed, allowing us to make the decisions we could. She truly understood the bond we had with our boy. We will cherish the memory of him forever ❤️
Putting my beloved Avery down was the hardest day of my life. While there is no easy way to do that, Dr. Noe made the experience so much better. From the moment she came to my house, her calm presence put everyone at ease, including my dog. She was professional, yet spoke as if she had known Avery for years. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby without feeling rushed. After Avery passed, Dr. Noe gave a heartfelt speech and hugged us all. I couldn't imagine having to euthanize in any other way.
When Dr Martin arrived, my little guy Barney ran to the door to greet him like he did all guests. He even barked at him, before jumping up to him to get attention. Dr Martin greeted him back, warmly and sincerely. He was playful with Barney while explaining the process to us. Lane made a horrible no win situation more acceptable with his calm demeanor and soothing words. I can't thank Dr Martin enough for helping little Barney come to peaceful end to his life's journey.
The form for the service was very easy to complete. I appreciated this since making this decision was very difficult and I was fraught with emotion. I wanted my beloved cat Buddy to have a pain free transition at our home. He was 18 years. His decline was rapid; he became extremely ill in the span of a week with advanced kidney disease. Dr. Lutri was so gentle and loving to Buddy. She explained every step of the process and asked me before each step if I was ready to move to the next. Dr. Lutri was gracious, kind, and compassionate. She has the most peaceful, calm, loving presence and a profound caring for the pets she serves and their pet guardians. She comforted me greatly as she took care of my magnificent boy. She genuinely understood the magical connection I had with Buddy and treated him so tenderly when she put his sweet body into a beautiful bed to transport him the the crematorium. I felt like Dr. Lutri was an angel sent to me in my dire time of need and loss. She was exceptional in every way. She is a talented doctor overflowing with empathy and understanding who is beautiful inside and out.
Dr. Katie was amazing! She handled everything so professionally yet personally too. Ruger will be so missed by many (as she can attest to, she said it was the biggest crowd she'd had, there were 9 of us) and I will never take my pets to a cold impersonal clinic to pass if I can help it. Having your pet pass at home where they're comfortable and familiar was such a blessing!
It's the service you never want but when it comes I was so thankful for Dr. Todd. She was so compassionate and patient with us. Our sweet cat was able to cross the rainbow bridge in the comfort of his home without the stress of being moved to a vets office in his final hours. She even brought his ashes back to us. I can't thank her enough for this. We also had to move his appointment up and she was quick to move to his needs. I hope I don't need their services for a long time for my other fur babies but I will use her again in the very, very distant future.
Faced the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved 18 year old Papillon and used Codapet to do it in our home as our dog hated to go to the vet. Dr. Katie Todd arrived and explained in detail the process, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, and made the process as easy as possible. She was very reassuring to my children that we had made the right decision and explained all the options for taking care of the remains and provided us with keepsakes to ease the family’s pain. Thank you so much Dr.Todd in doing what has to be one of the world’s toughest jobs!
Mac was my first pet- my kitty cat of 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as a buddy for so long. So when he showed signs of his time being up, I knew from a friend -in home pet euthanasia- was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. John Murray was beyond thoughtful and professional with amazing bedside manner. Mac had a wonderful last day at home and I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. It was beyond hard, but I also wouldn’t have it any other way looking back. Mac hated his car carrier, the car, a vet office is so cold. We were in our beautiful, sunny room, comfortable and well, I’d want to go the same way! Thank you again for being so wonderful to our sweet baby.
Dr. Lisa made herself available for a last-minute urgent call for us and she couldn’t have been more lovely and caring. This is obviously a challenging and sad time for anyone in the position to call. She treated it with reverence and kindness. Feel lucky to have had her.
Dr. Meadows, I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for your caring and respectful demeanor during this difficult process of letting our precious dog Bosley go. Your thoughtfulness made a significant difference to us. Thank you 🙏🏻 Kathy & Ed Galuski
Dr. Pilago showed so much care and compassion when we had to make the painful decision to put our handsome pup Rodney to sleep. I highly recommend her.
Lexi was our first family pet, so we'd never used a service like this and I didn't know it was an option until I unfortunately had to consider it this past week. Amy came by last evening and was very kind and considerate. She sat with us and allowed us to start the process when we felt comfortable. She was especially kind to my children who were having a rough time, as we all were. We are very thankful this service exists, and for Amy.
This was the first time having to say goodbye to a pet. My pup had declined quickly on Thanksgiving morning. I didn’t even know if there would be any options to do anything that day or if I’d have to wait until the next day to do anything. I am very thankful for Dr. Cherissa. She was very kind and compassionate. She explained what the process would look like and gave us plenty of time for our goodbyes. Thank you again for your service.
Dr Loweth was so kind and compassionate when she guided Mickey over the rainbow bridge. It was so nice to be able to do this in our home where Mickey was surrounded by family. I would highly recommend Dr Loweth.
Dr. Katie Todd was so kind and informative. She explained the process and answered all of our questions. Our sweet girl is at peace and out of pain and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for her.
Dr. John was compassionate and gentle in dealing with our sweet girl, and followed our wishes at every step, even to sweetly wrapping her and pacing her into the box for burial. He made the experience bearable and comforting.
Dr. Vernon has such an incredible gift and my family and I are lucky that she has been with us for two very difficult times (euthanizing our dogs). She feels like a member of our family and it is evident that she takes her duty seriously and with love and care. I have recommended her to everyone we know. She’s an animal and people lover! We are forever grateful for Dr. Vernon.
We are deeply thankful to Dr. Shannon Nakaya for the care and compassion she showed during our beloved dog Giggsy’s final moments. Saying goodbye was an incredibly painful decision and a very difficult day for us, but her kindness, patience, and gentle approach helped ease the burden. Dr. Nakaya guided us through the process with understanding and treated Giggsy with such tenderness and respect. Her compassion and professionalism truly made all the difference during this heartbreaking time.
This is one of the hardest experiences for those of us who adore our pets. For animals who are traumatized by car rides and vet visits it makes it all the harder to know their final moments are stressful. I was given Dr Thomason's name by our vet and opted for the in-home procedure. It was still a heart-breaking moment, but having Jojo in her usual place, on my lap, unafraid was a much more peaceful end to her life. Dr Thomason is empathic and caring. She didn't rush anything and took the entire process at my pace. I am so grateful for her calm demeanor. She made one of the worst moments in my life easier, knowing Jojo was not stressed in the least and her final moments were with her family in her familiar home. The paw-print card that arrived in the mail was so appreciated. I very highly recommend Dr Thomason for anyone who opts for an in-home euthanasia.
I cannot thank Dr. Murray enough for the sincere amount of support and love he expressed during this time. I honestly don't know what I would have done or how I would have gotten through this time if it wasn't for him!
Where do I start? My dog, Einstein, was diagnosed with lymphoma three weeks prior. It exploded throughout his body faster than the doctors expected and while he and I were on a road trip. Einstein woke one day, in obvious pain. I got lucky and found Dr. Whala through CodaPet. She was able to come see me that afternoon. It was either that or wait 4 days for the next availability (it was Thanksgiving). When she came to our house, she took the time to say hello and let Einstein and me get to know her. After she observed him and I explained his situation, she helped him pass in the most peaceful way I've witnessed. It's difficult for me to express exactly how peaceful it was, except to say, I couldn't have wished for someone to treat my buddy better. There was no pain and he felt loved. There was no sudden change but rather, a gentle transition. It's never easy making this choice but I feel Dr. Whala was the right choice for Einstein.
I want to thank Dr. Lori Thomas so much for her kindness and compassion. She helped my partner and I see our beautiful boy, Hobart, across the rainbow bridge this past October, and was so great at balancing the realities of paperwork with the comfort and care we needed to feel like our cat was given the best seeing-off we could possibly give him. It was not my first time saying goodbye to a pet, but it was my partner's first time, and we were both really impressed with how well everything was handled. We still cried, of course, but the experience was so much different and better in-home than it would have been elsewhere. I was so touched by the way Dr. Thomas carried Hobart to her car in a beautiful, cushioned basket with all of the flowers we laid on his body as well as one of his favorite toys. Seeing him placed right in the passenger seat in the sunlight was the best way I can imagine seeing him in his last moments. Thank you, Dr. Thomas.
This is the 2nd time we have used Dr. Danielle Jackson. She is kind, compassionate and we would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you again Dr. Jackson!
We are so grateful for Dr. Lori. She helped us feel at peace with our decision even though it was the hardest thing we have had to do. We would recommend Codapet and Dr.Lori to anyone facing this difficult decision. Thank you for being there for all the families who have had to say goodbye their fur babies.
Dr. Hart was great, very kind and compassionate. She made Curly's departure as painless and as peaceful as possible, for him and for me.
Dr. Gordon performed the euthanasia for my sweet soul dog of 16 years. It was the most peaceful experience I could’ve asked for. She knew exactly what to say and created such a calm environment to spend our final moments together. I’m very grateful for her service.
This is written to share with you our personal experiences with the unfortunate necessity of saying ‘goodbye’ to our friend, companion and virtual family member of nearly 15 years, our dog, Baxter. Most of the time Baxter was a good boy...and, yes, once in a while, a bad boy...but he was always our boy. Baxter was a Shiba Inu and a handsome devil. He loved to run, jump, chase and frolic and shared hours of enjoyment with us. Since our children were all grown, Baxter became more than just a pet. He would sit at the table with us, never ate dog food, was most often fed his chicken and cheese (not mixed) by hand and loved to escape from the house, patrol the neighborhood for between 30 seconds and 5 minutes and then come running back through the garage, thru the open door to the kitchen to the safety of his own home. As it does with all pets, eventually time caught up with Baxter much too quickly. He slowed down and began to have other issues that seemed to be causing him pain. He had 14+ great years, but things had become more and more difficult for him over the past 12 months. This finally brought us to what seemed like the most painful conclusion we ever faced – it seemed we were trying to extend Baxter’s life – not as much for Baxter as for us. So the final decision was made and we investigated all the options, one of which was in-home pet euthanasia. We decided we wanted to be with him to comfort him during his final moments. We wanted him to be treated with dignity and compassion. And we wanted him to be comfortable with where he was and with those who loved him the most. And, yes, I will admit, we wanted it to be as free from anxiety and stress as possible for us as well. As I am typing this with tears in my eyes, I have to say that thanks to Dr. Dzierga and her team at CodaPet. She came to our home, sat with us and Baxter for an hour explaining the process, what we could expect and, most importantly how Baxter would be treated. I have to say the entire procedure was more comforting and less painful than either of us ever imagined. Baxter was lying with us and simply drifted off to sleep experiencing no pain nor any anxiety, nothing but comfort. We said not our ‘goodbyes’, but our ‘goodnights’ to our little friend, promising to see him again. The last image I have of Baxter was him wrapped in blanket like a baby being lovingly carried away. His eyes were closed as if he were only sleeping, content, at peace and free of pain. We recommend every pet owner consider in-home pet euthanasia. It is a beautiful way to say ‘goodnight’ to your ‘friend’ and give those final moments with ‘your Baxter’ the same meaning as the wonderful life you shared together. Don and Eileen Bigda
Dr. Perzak was not only caring, but her professionalism gave us reassurance at an important time. Only today, two weeks later, as we were spreading our dear pet's ashes near a special hiking place, did we find his dog tags among the ashes, just as it should have been. Now we will put the tags with the remaining ashes in the most special location. Thank you, Dr. Perzak and the Codapet team for handling everything just right. It gave Blazethe proper end to a life of love and activity.
Dr. Norman was wonderful in helping our pet pass away peacefully at home. She was professional, compassionate and genuinely kind. We would highly recommend Dr. Norman and CodaPet for those looking for in home euthanasia services.
