I just completed the questionnaire and it was very helpful. Eddie just turned 14 today and he’s been with me his whole life. I got him after my husband died of leukemia. I wanted another companion. I got this little pug. He was probably three months old, I named him, Eddie that was my husband‘s name. He sleeps with me every night. He is with me every day, pigs are companion dogs by nature and he certainly is that.We have been together through thick and thin and now it’s coming to an end. I see it in him. He’s such a sweet boy. I want him to have the most comfortable time that he has left. I don’t want to keep him alive. If he’s uncomfortable that would be keeping him alive for me, which would be very selfish right now. He’s doing OK. The vet has put him on some pain medication and some nighttime medication for his anxiety, which has been very helpful. I will continue to monitor his well being and touch base with this site.i think that will be helpful for me to know how he’s doing. You know we get so busy during the day and I get forgetful. I need to stay focused On Eddie’s health and well-being. This is helpful for me. I hope my little story has been helpful to somebody else.
