I can't ignore the gradual changes my 17 year old pup is experiencing.
As I watch my dear Kira age I want her to have her best life right to the end. When she falls up the stairs, I catch her. When she cries due to anxiety sometimes sitting with her is not enough. I try not to hover and let her pace herself, but at 17 I know I'm going to have to let her go when she's ready. I can't imagine life without her.
