Knowing his time is limited I've tried to make the most of whatever time he has left.
What my brain knows is different than what my heart feels. I hope I know the right time to let him go...when the good days no longer outnumber the bad ones. It's easier said then done. My retired vet, also my friend, once told me a day too soon is better than a minute too late.
